Ever since the end of the RuroKen season 3 series, where Jimpu leaves Kenshin, I always wondered if anything would come next for RK. Is there any chance for the Jichuu Arc of the RuroKen manga to be animated? I know there's a pepitition, but it's been going on for a long time.

Anyone?

Coz the only time I knew the Jinchuu arc animated was in the OVA. but that didn't have half the cool battles it had in the manga... :\

The anime decided to branch off the storyline from the manga. In the anime, Kenshin doesn't go through that life changing experience when he thinks Kaoru is dead, so he never finds the answer to his wanderings. Its alot sadder and, to me, alot less satisfying to have him find peace by dying of disease while neglecting his family.

this would have been the best arc in the series if it was animated. they should've done it imo.

I f they animated when the series first came out, fine. But I don't think they should animate it now. Only because they would not have the same cast and crew. The art and the voices would be totally different. So I don't think they should risk ruining the Jinchu Ark.

I agree with cbkurs; it's been too long since the main series ended, and they'd have to find different voice actors and probably different artists and all that jazz.... and it ended too long ago, so the popularity of the series in Japan has probably gone down enough that it wouldn't really be worth animating the Jinchuu arc.

Like everyone's said, it would have been nice if they'd just animated it to begin with--it bothers me when anime just randomly branches off the manga storyline and leaves things (an entire arc!) out, but there's really no chance of it being animated now.
