Have you ever felt this "awesome" feeling the first time you saw the
first episode of an anime? Just the first episode.
The first time i saw episode 1 of Scrapped Princess i got that feeling. And it
turned out to be a great anime.
So I would like to hear of your Best first impressions and if the beginning
lived up to the whole anime?
Yeah, i do have...it's absolutely Fruits Basket, CCS, RK blabla....bla . I knew
that they're would be a great anime. And they're really is . Yup, i
love the characters and its theme songs...they're really awesome
Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann really grabbed my attention from the first glimpse of
a massive mecha in the very beginning of episode 1; I suppose Naruto did the
same thing, only with the first manga chapter. Right from the outset I loved the
premise - the kid has a demon inside him, and EVERYBODY KNOWS IT BUT HIM.
My first impression of X TV was like that - luckily the feeling proved to hold
through the rest of the anime. Same with
Evangelion, too, which in itself is something pretty special because it wasn't
even the first episode of the anime I saw first.
Hmmmm, I had a god impression from several anime series with the first
episode
KaleidoStar - the opening episode really previewed the intent to get even more
intense with the acrobatics
Black Lagoon - That first episode hooked me right away with the action and
dialogue sequences.
Crest of the Stars - what most people considered kinda dry and slow paced I
found quite interesting especially with the way the story was started.
Ghost in the Shell SAC - Animation, story, and action really got my attention
and held me from the first episode to the end of the series.
for a short anime I always give it five episodes and a long anime I give it ten
episodes but a few have drawn me in the very first episode and a select ones
drew me in the first 15 minutes of the anime...but some anime I just can't seem
to get involved in no matter how hard I try to pay attention to it like trinity
blood (sorry to the fans out there) but cowboy bebop and witch hunter robin drew
me in the first episode I was sold then, regardless of how many were ever to
come afterwards I would have bought them the same as texhnolyze I was attached
and glued to me seat and waited patiently for each time it would come another
new episode
Hayate no Gotoku! Loved it from the music when Hayate enters and when he was cut
off by the OP.
Samurai Champloo - I would watch that anime just to see Mugen's unconventional
fighting style, and it proved to be much more than just that. Most other anime
I've forgotten my first impressions
Of the new season, Minami-ke was overflowing with Chiaki x Kana comedy duo
awsomeness and ef~a tale of memories had the impression that it could turn into
something really profound.
Yes I have! And later on they either proved to be interesting as I'd felt, or
disappointed me! So
I usually try not to judge things from the very beginning. All of this depends
on peoples taste. I have also watched Scrapped Princess, and although it was
really entertaining and nice anime, I didn't felt the same enthusiasm, as you
described, you felt.
There are also times that I feel like an anime is not interesting at all and
later on I get absorb to it. i.e: Code Geass, Trinity Blood, Hellsing (Although
all these three animes are very popular, in the start I didn't feel like they
were going to be really interesting until I fully watched them)
Really i don't go randomly seeing anime, i see the anime after seeing a scan
that got me interested or 'cos a friend recommend, but i guess that happened
with the anime Ghost Hunt......it really was GREAT! It totally worth the
sleepless night i went through so i could see all 24 eps. i one go!
yes i have. i remember when i watch th first episode of elfen lied, it really
zapped me and i got the feeling that it will be a very interesting anime.

i had many but i somehow remember black lagoon the best.

after seeing "Ouran Host Club" I felt awesome! and in the end I watch the anime until 7am and i had to stop only because I had to go to shool...

Yeah, I got so excited at the start of Fruits Basket.
It looked so interesting. And it was!
I didn't get disappointed.

I also felt the same about Scrapped Princess; as well as Bleach, Ikkitousen, Hellsing and Get Backers. Great beginnings.
Yup. I got that feeling when I watched the first episode of Full Metal Panic!
The
anime turned out to be pretty sweet. I hope a new season comes out
First episode of Tengen Tappa Gurren Lagann, Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion, and Gun x Sword did that for me.
Hayate no Gotoku! Loved it from the music when Hayate enters and when he was cut off by the OP.
Samurai Champloo - I would watch that anime just to see Mugen's unconventional fighting style, and it proved to be much more than just that. Most other anime I've forgotten my first impressions

yea, i have too many anime to list out, but code geass leave me a very good impression!
I got hooked on Death Note from the first episode
