who here have watched i not stupid too(2)?aka xiahai bu ben 2.i'm sure
singaporeans have heard/seen it, maybe even malaysians, but how about people in
america, or china, or europe, or other asian countries?
i really recommend this movie to everyone, not because its by homegrown actors
and director, but because it isn't like the ordinary movie that hollywood
produces(most of the time).
although it has the same name as I not stupid, and seems like a sequel, its
not.and i think i not stupid too is a much better film.
it was released in early 2006, so if the name doesnt even sound remotely
familiar, you most probably wont get to see it at all, which is such a
shame.
this movie looks at family problems in both a wealthy as well as a poor
household, and also the problems faced by today's youngsters, if not around the
world, then at least in singapore.
i agree with u. the film definitely reflected the problems which lie within our
society. i'm very touched with the scene where the father is willing 2 give up
his own life 2 protect his beloved son. A traditional n strict father just dunno
how 2 express his love 2 his son. Although he died, at least this taught his son
a lesson. (but a high price 2 pay). The director is so amazing! He really
understand the reason y these problem arise in our society.
Nice plot, funny jokes (the mumbling words,where does baby come from-HAHA), and
heart touching story make me watch this film again n again. the ending quite
unusual, however in overall this is a must watch film for all.
