I removed the lines, added some effects and cleaned everything already, but I
have no idea how to create the BG.
I'm trying to expand the Scan to the left, and the main problem is the cut-off
umbrella, and continuing the sunset BG. Any Tutorials on making BGs, blending,
or personal opinions would be greatly appreciated!
It's not a problem extending the umbrella but you'll need to search up some
tutorials on the pentool.
With the pentool you can do some pretty well controlled curves and create the
umbrella. To colour in the umbrella, simply use the eyedropper, collect the
colours and to create the same colouring scheme as the scan you might need two
colours from the umbrella and a smudge tool to smoothen the colours out- so do
check out the pen tool.
Unfortunately you'll have to use your imagination on what the rest of the
umbrella should look like- but it shouldn't be too much of a problem: follow the
curves and you should get a point. Take a step away from the monitor and have a
look if the umbrella is in proportion or not and it should be okay
To continue the sunset you might want to have a look at the cloning tool. The
cloning tool might take a while, but it's worth while if you want to create the
same effect over and over.
Here's one of the cloning tool (more for editing manga, but you only really need
to know the concept of it) http://kalendel.cjb.net/
I just started doing some photoshop tutorials, and stuff, but I'm totally lost with the background.
Original Scan can be found here.
