why is the MT staff always rejecting wallpapers? some of them are good to, shouldnt they get notices from the other people BEFORE rejecting the wallpaper?

They normally reject wallies because they are not up to their quality standards. Because of the vast amount of wallpapers that are created, MT staff are pretty picky when it comes to keeping wallpapers.

ok, i just dont understand why good ones though

well, no one is gonna wanna download a crappy wallpaper. Ive had my share of wallies rejected, and when I take a look at them again...well, i realize that i can improve

and if they dont delete them, people wont learn how to improve. i think frustration at getting your wallpaper deleted really helps in your improvement - if you want to think about it positively

awwhh yah its harsh when they do reject it

I don't think I have yet to see a "good" wallpaper deleted. Unless it was breaking the rules like suggestive conent or nudity.

I guarantee that there is a good reason for all wallpapers being Quaratined. A wallpaper will be reported by a user first and then reviewed by a mod before being moved to Quarantine. If the wallpaper was good and wasn't a rip it wouldn't have been quarantined in the first place and it will probably be moved back once being raised in the complaints thread.

There are a lot of people who monitor the submissions in MT and there are people who can identify a rip even if the original was posted over a year ago. There's no unfair group targeting people in MT, there are rules and they are enforced, good wallpapers will stay, rips and 2 second jobs will be removed.

Half true: not the moderator's standards, but the Minitokyo POLICY standards. If you look in the Support section (yes in that top menu bar across the page right on the right with that Support link very few people bother to click...) there are a set of very BASIC criteria a wallpaper should fulfill in order to stay in the gallery.

It's not that the moderators delete anything they don't like: it's what either violates or doesn't match up to the criteria of the policy. And they are very simple rules to follow: good extraction etc.

As for why you want good wallpapers only is pretty simple.
The whole system works on credits and all: It's a bit like walking into a bar with $10 in your pocket. You ask for a beer and they give you something unrefrigerated and has bugs floating around on top. You wouldn't be happy- and the bartender will be fired.

It's about the same: the bartender's job is to make sure the beer is fresh, your job as the customer is to download something good, the beer suppliers are teh wallpaper artists making sure that they provide good beer (good wallpapers) and the boss is here to fund it all and make sure everything's okay.

I'm very sure nobody wants to drink bad beer.
Nothing deleted from teh gallery was deleted because of the sheer fun of it: it's in teh policy.

Hahah I sound pretty drunk o_o;

^^ That's the best analogy I've ever heard. (lol)

Part of the reason the elite gallery was implemented was to make the quality standards a little less strictly implemented (for stuff that's not in the elite gallery, obviously) but stuff that looks like a 5-minute job is still gonna get the boot.

<Grabs a cold Guinness, then remembers it's not even noon yet *sigh* >

Additional to what kuroimisa said, you can always use the Complaints: Deleted images, warnings, bans thread.

And no, a wallpaper should not linger on MiniTokyo for feedback off other members any longer than it should do. If it deemed below standard then it should be deleted as soon as possible.
