just curious about what is in your mind. heheheheh :)

its got to be cute! ^_^

Hmm, I buy mangas for entertainment and education and yes, if the characters are cute that doesn't hurt too. If done right, mangas can be very effective in passing along information on dry subject matter.

The freedom of expression allowed in mangas are simply incredible. Subject matters banned in any other places are published in Japanese manga. I've been collecting mangas for over 20 years and it ranges from SF, fantasy, history, drama, comedy, business, action, over 18, etc.

Mangas really helped me learn about Japan if only superficially.

yeah cute and definatly good art is required for me!

plot and art quality, and bishies!

Storyline and art, must be detailed and sexy or kewl!

A good storyline, for me, comes first, then the artwork. Something interesting, that I've never seen before, or that takes an old concept and "turns it on its head".

entertainment mostly but of course beiing a manga a comic book I look for satisfying drawings and artwork ofcourse there has also to exist a interesting story and stuff but mostly it has to be artwork (and very cute girls ^_^)

Good storyline with great artwork ^-^.

Good character design and art that does not look Carnelian (I hate that), Plot filled with violence, maybe a little comedy, although a complete comedy wouldn't hurt either, character development and suspense.

The art needs to have something extra, a little flair, I love the way Shirow has his pages packed with detail. If there's action I have to feel and hear the blows connecting, for this Ryoji Minigawa (Spriggan, Project Arms) is ace. These days I find a lot of artwork lacking that something extra to just throw it into my face and grab my attention. That's not say that it has to be action packed, I enjoy reading Oh! My Goddess as every page seems so well crafted, especially the larger dramatic frames.

Plot is highly prized too, I get put off when a series never seems to take-off. I like it when a series turns itself on it's head, to keep me thinking. I recently borrowed my sisters Deathnote GN's and was drawn straight into it, some nice plot twists and developments.
But it is nice to have some brainless action once in a while :)

A good storyline that keeps me interested so I dont fall asleep in the 5 minutes I'm ready it. Good artwork and nice details. Plots that are funny random, character development and action packed.

I want to enjoy the look of whatever I'm watching, and the characters and storyline have to capture me enough to want to stick around....typical fiction appeals, really.

Even if a show is said to be amazing, I doubt I would keep watching if there was one huge factor (say the animation style) that just rubs me the wrong way

Story line and art work.

Storyline, art quality, action and some humor

Hm...what a question.

What I look for in a manga is comparable to what I would look for in a partner...EVERYTHING!

Okay, but no manga is perfect, just like no man is perfect. However, everyone can find that one manga for them, just like they can find their special someone. Certain individuals looks for certain traits stand out ie: humour, drama. While others looks for wellroundedness.

Personally, I am looking for something I can relate to. The stories, the characters, their experiences, the setting, the atmosphere.... And yes, that's what I would also look for in a partner.

sorry, double post >_<

Story and a LITTLE art. I won't read something just cuz it looks pretty and I won't drop something just cuz the drawings are ugly

first is artwork, second is plot.

ecchi + girl + kawaii = pure bliss, but than it'll turn into a dojin, hehehehe

art is the key, art

i look 4 great artwork, dramatic and symbolic action,a specific story plot, fantastic adventure, and rated G romance. i hate rough sex in manga/anime. OX

its all about the story i never really cared for artwork in a manga but i dont want it 2 look thrown together either(the story has 2 have soul and be unique i dont want 2 read the same stuff over again in a recycled form)

plot, storyline, style of art

art and humor and suspension!

great artwork, nice storyline, funny thing inside and cute girl characters ^^
