Which character do you think is better and why? I personally think that Tifa is
so much better just because she kicks ass and she didn't die like how Aerith
did. So what about you guys?
Better in what sense? better for cloud? better party member? better
personality?
If it is the first, forget it...I like Tifa but even I have come to realize
neither her nor Aeris are for Cloud...he only has eyes for his darkness

As for the second, it depends...Aeris has the flaw that she dies early and at
least I didn't get to see all her limit breaks. As for Tifa, she along with
Cloud and Red were my top party. Mostly because she kicks ass and its rare to
see a woman on an RPG who's not a healer or using a long range weapon, at least
back then...still, on this case I favor Tifa as not only she's very strong and
OMG her limit break *__*, but she can also heal if you equip her with cure so
why carry a weak healer when you can have 3 strong and balanced characters who
can also cure?
As for the last one I guess it depends to one's own tastes...honestly I didn't
mind Aeris in the game, she was playful, flirty and ok...with Tifa I felt more
close to, on the other hand, and I used to have a soft spot for childhood's
friends. But time has passed and my visions have changed...now I'm SICK of
Aeris...yeah, we all get how pure, feminine, sweet and innocent she was (not...)
nomura has turned her into her whore just because of all her appearances (same
with sephiroth u_u) and Tifa...I just want to slap some sense into her so she
stops waiting for cloud, but as their personalities (or lack of it) go, they're
the same...
Well since someone actually put time and thought into a response I'm going to
leave the thread open for the time being. But if there are anymore posts like
TIFA IS THE BEST I will shut this thread.

Perhaps you can elaborate it more ? Example : On partnership with Cloud or
Charactor comparison or who is much socialable thinking ? Or who is more
anime-manga suitable shld there be an adaption?Just some examples.
Gameplay wise, i prefer to have Aerith as a tanker. However, she dies early and
no, you can't bring her back unless you crack it. Lol. Tifa's Limit breaks are
like combos. Loved those times when u can play jackpots at home in your PC !

If it depend only on characters, i like more aerith.I dont wanted that she would
be killed, but her death was necessary for the story and for the evolution of
characters. My opinion is that aerith is better.
i think Tifa would be better because she's a cool character. She symbolizes that
even women can fight. With Cloud, Tifa is the best partner because she was his
goal. He wants Tifa to notice him as a man, so he joined SOLDIER. About
Aerith...well i also like her, good character design and all. For me, they are
both good but Tifa is better for Cloud.
I like Tifa because Aeris seemed to...fake for me. I thought Aeris was a bit too
nice. That and I didn't like using her for two reasons:
1) I found out she died beforehand and I thought it was a waste of time to train
her then let her die and end up training someone else
2) I just don't like staffs so her weapon was eh. ...that and her outfit bugged
me. I love tifa's style and how she doesn't need weapons, just her fists. Also
her outfits were cool. ^__^ She also seems more mature.
And for Cloud if we go there it's Tifa hands down because one...Aeris is dead.

I like Tifa more...because she knows her martial arts and she's not all manly or tomboyish......
Tifa for me, she's a kick ass character in FFVII because of her martial art skills. Plus she's pretty and hot for a game character.
It's hard for me to decide... I'll choose both! :p
