ithe movie has a prett good plot but its kinds weird. Lois and lex are both wierd and even the starting where lex cheats the dieing widow out of her money...
the new action is pretty crap but as you can expect for all new movies... a lot better graphics, sounds and actors.
well lex turns out to be a lot more cooler...
he gets some kind of crystal and he chucks it into da sea whola! tehres an island made of crystal. He gets smart and infuses the crystal with KRYPTONITE so when superman comes: WOOP! he gets bashed and stabbed with a kryptonite knife hehehehe gg for superman.
well if u guys have seen it tell me what you think on this new movie

haven't seen it don't wanna ever see it.
the superhero in tights thing is too cliched for me.
but yeah I guess you have a point with the better sound and picture.

I liked Superman Returns. It was exactly the type of movie I expected it to be. My friend, who has never been much of a Superman fan to begin with, said it was good, but hardly worth the amount of praise it's been getting in reviews. I agree somewhat. It was a great movie; the cast was fine to me, the visual/effects and audio were obviously way better than the original movies, but the movie was a bit slow paced. That was too be expected however given the plot; Superman returns after a long absence, so it's not like you can just throw everything at him right off the bat. I hope the sequel (yes, contracts have been signed and financing is already appproved) is a lot more action packed; Superman needs a villain he can slug it out with (not like Nuclear Man though).

I like this movie. I'm not a Superman fan fan (as in true, die-hard fans) but I know enough about Superman.. XD
I like Brandon Routh's acting. He did a good transition from Clark Kent to Superman and vice versa. It's quite convincing (from an objective POV) to me. He made it (somewhat) plausible that the "mild-mannered" Clark Kent and Superman couldn't be one and the same.. I think he pulled it off really well.

Kevin Spacey's Lex Luthor was also convincing. Very intelligent, has a way with words. Props to the movie makers. XD

-_- I'm not much of a critic.. though i love movies.. -_-

well when i saw the commercial. i wasn't really excited seeing a hero fighting bad guys with blue tights and red undies. but when i saw it i thought it wasn't as bad as i thought. it was ok. haha cute twist. i wanted to hug the little dude cuz he was sooo adorable XD. but yeah superman returns was an ok movie

I have not seen it yet, bit it looks good from the trailers, I might see it.

I enjoyed the movie overall...yes Lex's plot was a little wonky and it could have used more action, but I'll definitely pick it up when it comes out.

My beef with Superman movies is that so often it's always him VS an natural (or unnatural) disaster, with the exception of going against Zod and his cronies....I want to see him and some villain tear the whole city apart in a brutal fight to the finish. Sure, I guess I've watched too much Justice LEague, but I love super hero stuff, so that's that 8p

I'm definately not a Superman fan, but I'm extremely tempted to see the Superman Returns film because Kevin Spacey plays the villain.

Is it worth seeing just for Kevin Spacey's performance?

Well, the graphics are certainly incredible. The story was okay. I'm a little disappointed that it wasn't more "action packed", like Superman punching somebody, but I guess I can't expect much of that with Lex as the main villain.

have not seen it yet...hope i will this fryday...oviously it´s gonna have lots of special efect and stuff...
but i don´t think the quality of the actors depends on the time...there is lots of old movies with far better actors than some of the new ones...i hope the cast to be good enought...

It was an okay movie. Could have had a bit more action! Come on! It's Superman, it needs action!

I like it very much!
I like superhero movies in general, but Superman is my all time favorite.
Still, the most perfect representation of superman would be Christopher Reeves
Brandon Routh is not bad, though.

The action sequences are top notch. Really brings back memories. Nostalgic.

ugh, i've seen so many trailers for it. i don't really like the look of it ¬¬ and brendan rought just doesn't look very superman-y. if you get what i mean

im the limbo generation... aaawww! my parents lived superman with Crhis (he liked suck fetuses) and if i could have childs, lived with superman returs. My father can watch many changes from the original superman in 60's I grown up with superman in 80's and his death.

I actually for once thought the slow, but winding transition of Superman towards the Superman Returns movie was a good choice to revitalize, nevertheless. Not only has this individual [who I presume must be named Clark Kent] marked the rebirth of our favorite buffed-up superhero, but that the theme they brought out at the very end about how times have definitely changed and people simply moving on, turned out to be a fairly decent storyline to fit into, as a matter of fact.

At first, you can only be in total unique awe of Clark Kent's sudden disappearance, his sudden loss of the women he once loved, and the rekindling of such romance that had to happen so many years later. There presented one major problem though. When Lois Lane was married, I couldn't help sitting back on the edge of my seat, wondering how things will turn out, Superman just as depressed as ever. Lois Lane now has a family to take care of, and that makes events so complicated, yet worrisome. It not only makes me feel the same way the character portrays it as when he tried to overcome this very disturbing obstacle himself, but the director has done a very good job making sure the audience interacts in the same way he does.

If I can recall, the evil villain, and crazy clinical mastermind Lex Luthor, once again makes a sudden reappearance by using forbidden outer space material to create a weapon so destructive, that had it taken affect, would entirely engulf the Earth of water and destroyed billions of lives in a heartbeat, it seemed. Sure, it may not be the most action-packed movie I've seen in a while, and sure, there seems to be questionable flaws that could pertain to the originality of Superman himself [like why would bad things happen all of a sudden, when Superman returned], but overall, the revival of Superman was wrapped up quite nicely. I can only applaud for the movie to be shown. The supposed "death" of Superman, the coincidence of Superman being a father, a "human being" in nature, and yet a modern superhero kids would like to look up to, from far beyond the skies. I enjoyed the movie a lot, and to those who haven't known Superman much before in the past, it's a great review to touch upon really, for both new and veteran watchers alike.

Superman Returns is very entertaining in many ways. The action is great (though I'd have liked to see him fight an enemy at full power), the humour is spot on and the director has exceptional vision for creating landscape settings.

It just lacks that certain extra 'OOMPH' to propel it into the realm of all time great superhero movies like the Spiderman movies.

It's ok, but I like the older Superman movies WAY better. Besides they made him politically correct so they're not allowed to say that he fights for "The American Way" anymore, which is stupid because that's what the whole series was based on, and yes he does fight for truth and justice but he had THREE things he fought for and if you take out one of them it changes the WHOLE thing, and that's like killing part of the series in my opinion. Granted the graphics and stuff were better than the older ones, but what can you expect from them, they were made a long time ago, and for back then those were extremely well made. Besides in my mind, Chris Reve will always be Superman, no matter who they get to replace him.

yeah go err mintytwinblademaiden (damned long name 0-0). yeah chris Reve was the best. When ever i watch smallville he acts as doctor swan. Well i dont even think that doctor is doctor swan. I mean, Chris reve has such a strong superman impression taht Clark Kent just cant compete with

Sort of it was good but sort of bad... I didn't see it quite intriguing and all.... Hard to explain but it just was plainly said...plain XD

i haven't watched it yet. But it seems like it is interesting ^.^

(Shutdown PC and going to buy Superman Returns ticket)

havnt seen it yet...but the old ones were definatey the best...especially the 1990 one, the movies nowadays kinda dont go with the real story...like spiderman.. O.o, o well..i dont mind watching it though...but i definately wont recommend it ( my frens said it suks O.o )

Nothing but pretty visuals of the Man o' Steel flying around, not much else to see. I liked the original ones alot better. But Batman pwns Superman hardcore.

I've never seen it, I wouldn't like to see it really, Super Man really doesn't catch my attention.

i really did
but not so much the love story
i thought that made the movie too long lol
Kevin Spacey as Lex Luthor was awesome!
