I started when i was bored at school, i never took a real interest until my
friends said i was good and from there i just rooled. I tried to improve and my
friends are a great help as they encourage me < many times have they tried to
get me to draw the female characters with lesser clothing =='> i never wanted
to do it real bad, i don't practice a lot it just happened one day. But the
great thing about it is that even just a bit of improvement gets u hyped, so
thats probably what keeps me going I still
remember when at first i could only draw the hair and face but without eyes nose
or mouth. Then i got the body but no hands. Then i got the hands and improved on
shoes and body figure and now i'm doing my eyes mouth and nose i've got the nose
and mouth but the eyes are a bit dodgy so i'll continue to work on them !
Anyways how did u started? I wanna know !
Actually I just sort of fell into the style, that was how my art style
developed. I've probably been conciously drawing anime for about two years
now... the improvement over the time hasn't been that great, but it's been
enough to keep me trying :P
It seems to just be the way I think(crazy aint it). I'd try to draw realistic
dragons and I'd have a really clear detailed picture in my head of what they
should look like. But... when I put pencil to paper they came out very stylized.
It wasn't until around high school (after my skills had developed a little) that
I noticed that my dragon heads (despite still looking really bad) strongly
resembled the same style of drawing as anime. So I decided to try drawing some
of my favorite anime characters. Low and behold I found I had an untapped talent
for it. My skills have grown significantly since then (not quite a year now) and
I can do a pretty good face. Though my bodies need a bit more work and my hands
need quite a bit of work(sometime I'll have to post some art and see what you
think).
You could almost say it's in my blood. I think reality and it comes out Anime.
How weird is that :P
I've always been able to draw and it started with watching cartoons and then I
started doing drawings of TMNT and then I started watching anime when I was 14
and watching so many different animes gave me ideas and I created my own
characters and I started drawing more and more anime I used to draw a lot of
still life and portraits but I've always enjoyed drawing cartoons and anime and
I don't think I will ever stop.
i won a book token and i seen this book "how to draw manga" i thought,
what the hell is manga, i bought the book and now a year on im still drawing. i
carry a folder around with all of my pictures in it and everyone is always
praisning me.
ive always luved drawing but manga gave me a whole new passion.
and all because of that book, my friends all now like manga! <(^-^)>
i only started cause i wanted to out draw my friend from den i just drew anime
charcter from every show i watched den i stoped cause we stopped competein den
resently i drew myself which is weird cause it looks just like me
I'm not sure. I started out drawing the characters from "Digimon" and
"Sailor Moon" (my classmates even offered to pay for my pics). Then at
the start of seventh grade I made my original manga. I even entered TOKYOPOP's
first "Rising Stars of Manga" contest in the 8th grade. Granted I
lost, but it was still fun to take a chance. I'm more into writing now, but I
might enter this year's contest.
i still remember when i was in grade 1, my friend could draw pretty girls and i
like it very much, so i practise drawing. and when i was in grade five i started
reading manga , i improve my drawing. now i have a friend who likes drawing
manga so she and i always draw together
Well back then I started drawing animes when I was in the third grade when I saw
the anime series Fushigi Yugi I was so inspired by Miyaka so I tried to draw her
over and over until I got better.

drawing is just a passion and manga is pretty easy to draw since it doesn't need much perfection.
well when i was young i watched many upon many cartoons, some of which are anime.
