First of all, I'm a newbie in Photoshop-related topics (meaning 5- hours of
practice in PhotoShop). Minitokyo has great artists and experts in image
processing, therefore, critiques, tips and advice will be really appreciated.
Second, I like clean and simplistic wallpapers. I love clean Windows/Linux
desktops. That's why these wallpapers are pretty simple. If someone wants to use
or do something else with them, feel free to do so.
Third, most of them are built from scans taken from Minitokyo and other sources.
If anyone knows of good FAQs about improving quality of scans, please please
please tell me :3
Your extraction is pretty good, and composition is nice The
simplicity is nice (and clean) but maybe instead of leaving it completely white,
try adding textures/light patterns/colours? I do like what you did with the last
one, it's bold, but clean.

some tuts that you might want to learn. This is one of the sites for tuts that I
go to. If ya want I can give you some other tut sites once I come across some.

anywayz.. for the first one, i think u missed just a spot on the lower left
corner of the scan... (and your extractions are so nice )
also, the quality of your first scan is pretty good too, so no worries..

but some of your walls are a little two simplistic. to be specific, the first 2.
the last 3 seem fine. But the white background in the first two are a liiittle
too white. I would suggest putting nice lines or backgrounds in. take a look at
this user's walls. they are so simple but absolutely beautiful. I know she does
a different style than you do, but its still a little similar http://chubbykitty.minitokyo.net/
extraction was pretty easy... most of the scans came pretty clean already. For
example, Miu. I got the image from one of the Chara CDs of Ichigo Mashimaro.
Just removing the banners and text made the trick.

work I will use your advices and tips.
I really liked the last one, the white and red is a good choice. I had to
reverse it so my icons didn't cover up the center of attention but I enjoyed its
elegance and simplicity.

yeah everyone is right.
i don't quite knoe what extraction is yet but i will find out.
anyway i think it is a little too simplistic sure the picture is the focal point and grabs the attention but you need a little more then just white
