i think that it could be obito. if you look at one of the chapters after they
capture Gaara there is the leader shrouded in mist but he has the sharingan in
his eyes and it's not itachi. plus i think it would be a killer plot twist.
i think tobi is obito and leader is possibly yondaime because the outline and
tobi as a mask revealing one eye and obito gave his eye to kakashi i think its
covering a missing eye which if tobi was obito then that explains why the mask
covers one eye

Isnt it shown that the leader is some orange hair dude? that we have never seen
his face? not Itachi, he doesn't seem to be the leader, nor does he commands

As for Obito, who would think its Obito? He's dead, obviously, and he lost his
eye. The leader has 2 eyes while Obito would have never regained the eye he
transferred to Kakashi.
As for the 4th Hokage. It's pretty obvious as well stupid, he's dead, everyone
in the leaf village saw that he sacrificed himself to seal the kyubi in naruto.
If he does want kyubi powers, why didn't he seal it in him and run away in the
first place.
Why doesn't anybody think that its just a new character? A manga can introduce
new characters not instead of just extend very bsly on one character to make
some ridiculous plot twist, yes?

I'm sorry that i sound kind of angry in my post, but I'm just annoyed at the
fact that people always dwell over dead characters wanting them to reappear.
the leader of Akatsuki is a ginger hair guy
it seems that he have not made his appearence in any naruto episodes yet
Not much is known about this person except that he acts like the leader of
Akatsuki; he is the only one to have given orders to other members and none have
ever challenged him. He is also the one to initiate and supervise the jutsu that
forcibly brings a biju out of a captured Jinchuriki. And it seems that he have
sharingan just like itachi but no one knows whether what type of sharingan.
If the leader of Akatsuki did have the sharingan ability, then could the leader
of Akatsuki be Uchiha Madara? If he could supress the kyuubi's power then it is
a possibility that he could bring out the kyuubi's true power if he was to have
it sealed inside of him.
Hmmm, I hope its a new guy that the mangaka hasn't introducted to us yet. I'll
feel a bit letdown if it was someone like Obito or Yondaime, just b/c too many
fans have predicted it already. Anyway, he (cool if it was a she) better have
some awesome powers!
lol @ him being Yondaime, and here i thought the idea of naruto being yondaime
was farfetched.
In some of the manga images they show the leader with some wierd eye shape,
almost similar too mangekyu sharingan.
Not really sure who it is, im only speculating on those eyes that maybe hes from
the uchiha clan.
Thinking that he mightve been the person to tell(where to find out) Itachi about
how to get the mangekyu.
But its all speculation.
Uchiha Marada sounds as a good theory....well even the Kyuubi knows him to be a
very bad guy. Though with him it would mean that if Sasuke developes Mangekyou
Sharingan it would be four persons having this ability....(Madara, Itachi,
Kakashi, Sasuke?)
