I thought about it for a while, and the phrase 'no offense", is kind-of
useless!
When someone says that after a rude comment, are you REALLY going to NOT take
offense? I think that phrase should be eliminated because the only purpose it
serves is pissing people off passive- aggressively!
You have a point. But sometimes one gives ones' honest opinion which turns out
to be very different from another. When the person use no offense, or at least
the way I use, it is in order to give an honest and hard hearing opinion that
might sound offensive, and would be if intentional, but otherwise
isn't.
