Four United Nation Observers were killed when they were in their Clearly Marked Bunker, one shell and two bombs hit the United Nations compound in Lebanon, the fire came from a Israeli Strike on the Base.
The Israelis Claim that it was a mistake and mere friendly fire, but Koffi Annan the United Nations Secretary General felt otherwise. He accussed Israel of Apparently Directly Targeting the Bunker.
His Reasons for this? Simple, that Same United Nations Bunker had communicated with Israel 10 seperate times in 6 hours, they complained of shelling near their outpost and were afraid of being hit, the isrealis did confirm these communications, but in the end the United Nations Communications were ignored and the Israelis continued to bomb.
Four UN Observers Killed, two from Canada, one from China, and another from Europe. Their is an Ironic twist to this, the Last time Isrealis invaded Lebanon they struck a UN Post killing over 100 Lebanon Reffugees, the Ivestigaton by the Isreli Miliutary was never Finished...
So what do you think? Do you think the Israelis did the bombing on purpose, do you think they were just being reckless? And what do you think should happen to the Israelis who killed the UN Observers?
On another Note Isreali Fire has also hit Red Cross Transports in this conflict as well killing members of the Lebanese Red Cross.
So is Isreal being to Reckless?

I tryed to provide as much information as i could... thats why this happens to be a long Post.
I would say reckless but hitting the Red Cross make it seem it was on purpose.
If they are going to investigate this, I hope the UN investigate this, not the military.
...
Really, what the heck is up with Israel? I been hearing so many bad stuff about their army and such to the point that I don't trust them.
As easy as it would seem to accidentally Spot a target, find coordinates, zero in coordinates, call in for permission to fire, fire, and then hit there target and then call it friendly fire despite all the visual evidence that they must have been given by a clearly marked bunker, i doubt that it was an accident. Israel seems to be making alot of "mistakes" lately, but at this point i just dont know if I have the willpower to care about the mideast conflict anymore. What it looks like to me is that this stuff has been going on for 30 years (which it has if you check online) but now the only reason its a big deal is because american media can sway the very nature of a situation by reporting it on the news.
I was watching the news last night and noticed that the little headliner below the reporter in Israel kept shifting as the reporter was talking. It went from:
"Rumors of Hezbollah Attacks reported"
15 seconds later
"Hezbollah sleeper cells rumored to be awoken across world"
then
"Hezbollah sleeper cells planning world-wide attacks"
and again
"Hezzbollah attacks being reported"
Mind you this all happened within 5 minutes of eachother. CNN singlehandidly managed to announce in a 5 minute period that hezzbollah was waking all its sleeper cells and that they were planning a massive simultaneaus attack on the world.....fuck you cnn
but thats off topic, i personally think that this who series of events will go on for another month or so before it fades away and another girl gets kidnapped and america cares about that.....America is so fical is funny
The Israelis armed forces are truly one of the best in the world. Of course, there is no real love between the Israelis and the United Nations. If one asks me, I think the Israelis army or air force meant to hit the U.N. outpost on purpose ! To let them know that they do not want a "international force (I-FOR) at this time. Let's face it, when there are opposing forces hell bent on destrorying the Israelis force, I don't blame the Israelis on defending themselves. Hell, this is another "tiff" between the Arabs and the Israelis.
This has been going on for many, many years (since Biblical days !) Ialso admit, I don't recall Hamas or Hezoballah being good neighbour ! I truly don't recall Iran's president a most friendly dude who advocated that Israel be destroryed and the Holocaust of the Jewish people nothing more than a "Myth !"
My thoughts ? "You Sir ! (Mr. Iranian President, you lose ! Good Night !) I met several Holocaust survivors from Treblenka, Auchwitz and from Dauchau and what they told me made me cry and upset just thinking than Humans can be so damn cold and indifferent.
Of course, I don't recall either that Red Crescent vehicles were legitimate targets during wartime. Hey, terrorists don't obey the rules. Civilians are expendible people, what we are seeing is the new face of War and Hate. Folks, it won't last forever, there will be a lull, then another , definitely more violent conflict, with other nations whom are more than willing, including the good ol' USA !
Now where's that telephone number so that I mat call my "FAV" arms dealers and WMD's ?!
Yes Israel is being reckless. Their military's abilites for precision strikes and positive ID of targets is probably only second to the US and its allies. To hit clearly marked bunkers and vehicles (especially after being informed of the situation) is most likely the result of field command decisions. Said commanders should be held accountable for their actions (sadly this is not often the case) especially if they were deliberate.
I'm too lazy to read this whole thing, but I can say one thing.
There's no sense in fighting for a nation because a nation is nothing but a piece of lands. There's no sense in fighting for a religion. Fighting with violence or annoying others is never the answer.
Sorry, dude... I am really lazy...
I don't think WAR is reckless. You make war or you don't.
Israel wanted to attack to Lebanon with the excuse "they cautgh 2 of our soldier that's we are attacking them"...Israel wanted to hit those targets and they hit them...
This is the thing, the bombs that hit the UN outposts were precision guided, and such is the reason Israel is insisting on an internal investigation rather than a UN investigation. Funny thing is that the bombing of ambulances (especially those carrying injured/dying persons in Palestine is an everyday thing. Human rights groups document these bombings and present the evidence to the UN regularly to no avail. The UN does sweet FA when it's somebody else being killed (on a regular basis might I add), but when they get bombed they're all up in arms. Precision guided missiles are NOT a mistake no matter what Israel claims.
My simple answer is yes Israel is being reckless.
Israel needs to stop playing the victim game and start taking responsibility.
I beleive that Isreal should back of Lebanon.
UN observers = lol
As reckless as Hezbollah.
Israel = lol
Dont be surprise by Israeli attacks on the UN or any other US or UN entity in the near future. Why? read on?
If you familiar with the event, then you can see the resemblence. In 1967, during Isreals war with Egypt, The Israeli Airforce and Navy attacked the USS Liberty off the coast of Sinai, killing 34 sailors and wounding 174. They called it "a tragic accident", or was it. It is believed Israel was trying to get the United States involved in its war with Egypt. Survivors of the "accident" recall that the attackers did thier utmost to sink the ship and kill all on board, even machine gunning our sailors in LIFEBOATS. This was NEVER fully investigated because Israel is our "Good friend". The assualt on the UN posts could very well be a deliberate act to futher their aims, whatever they are. In my opinon, these guys need to solve this problem on their own, we dont need toget involved in their damn little holy war.
Damn Straight we shouldn't get involved in there holy war but we already are, we give Israel Money for weapons.
Sorry for the language..

More info on the attack:
Here is what the ship looked like after the attack:

Rest in Peace

Basing this on only the information I've read on this thread, it seems it should be Israel we declare war, not helping.
I remember reading "The Assault on the Liberty" by Jim Ennes in April of 2005. The fact that Israel did not want witnesses of its "Six-Day War" was portrayed as a possible motive for the attack. I don't doubt that was the reason, and I also don't doubt that Israel does not want the world to know what its doing to the Lebanese people. Hezbollah is disliked by the Lebanese anyway, from what I can gather, and now, I believe that the Israelis are just making enemies rather than solving their problems.
The attack on the United Nations was not just recklessness, it seems to also have a combination foolishness and Victory Disease as well.
Well as long as we have a conservative adminastration in power, the Israelis will always get backed by the US and the Peace talks will always fail.
I don't think you should fault the administration for the war in the middle east... Others have pointed out that this war has far deeper roots than can be easily rectified. It's not like we have a better idea about how the crisis can be resloved, so let's not resort to finger pointing.
All of this going on right now seems to point to a 3rd World War. Every time the US gets involved in something it gets worst. Since the US is a major power our involvement will get our enemies involved then all hell going to break loose since we are not the only ones with nuclear power
Ah yes, Israel our friend and "Proxy mate", yeah, the Israelis military goes off on a tangent from time to time. Well, that is what is called "friendly fire !" Hah ! Our military personnel are like lambs for the slaughter. I will admit, this was no accident on the Israelis's part. THEY MEANT to do it !
I believe that Israel is hell bent on destroyinh Hezoballah (Party of God ?) completely. Whether friend or foe, the Israelis armed forces will get the job done or die trying.
Yes Party of God is the meaning of Hezoballah.
