I've noticed in most anime that have a main male character that the names of
those characters are usually K, H, or S names (with a few exceptions of course).
For example: Keitaro (Love Hina), Kaoru (Ai Yori Aoshi), Kenshin (Rurouni
Kenshin), Kouta (Elfen Lied), Kazuki (Maburaho), Kira (Gundam Seed), Keiichi
(Aa! Megami-Sama), Hideki (Chobits), Haru (Rave Master), Hikaru (Hikaru no Go),
Hibiki (Vandread) Sousuke (Full Metal Panic!), Shinji (Neon Genesis Evangelion),
Spike (Cowboy Bebop), Souichi (ex-driver), Syaoran (Tsubasa Chronicle).
I know there's others, but I probably haven't watched all the anime yet. Anyone
willing to give insight into this?

Muyo, Yuji from Blue Gender, Renton from Eureka 7 and Alfred and Edmond Dantes
from Gankutsuou - The Count of Monte Cristo. Thats all i can think of for now

english name....sort of...but yea you get what I mean.
most of the exceptions are up there...so I'll just add Saeba Ryo (City
Hunter)...yes his name is Ryo not Joe...lol...and Kamina Ayato from RahXephon
Oohh~ true~~! O_O Didn't notice that before.
Maybe those are very common japanese names?
These days there are more and more anime which have Western settings, so maybe
we would begin to see more variety in the capital letter of ther names.
=Not that it's a bad thing!=
actually, it isn't Ash from Pokemon for the japanese anime but Satoshi.
Tsubasa from Captain Tsubasa, Taichi from Digimon Adventure, Gon from Hunter X
Hunter, Chiaki from Kamikaze Kaitou Jeanne, Mamoru from Sailor Moon, Natsu from
Fairy Tail, Masato from Miyuki, Akatsuki from Figth no Akatsuki... it is not
really hard to come up with main male characters whose names don't begin with K,
H or S.
my list of hot guys is sooo long..
Kiba from Wolf's Rain
Yuki Eiri from Gravitation
Sasuke, Itachi, Kakashi, Yondaime, Hyuuga Neji from Naruto
Tsuzuki and his blonde partner from Yami no Matsuie
Edward from full metal alchemist

Hmmm... That's weird :P Come to think of it, I can't come up with any shows whose main character's name doesn't start with those letters.
