What did everyone think of Sasuke's betrayal and him joining Orochimaru? I was pretty bummed out and the part where Sakura tries to stop him from leaving was so sad...
What did you guys think of all of this?
Sasuke's obsession to avenge his family was always going to lead him astray at some point, but even though I knew, story-wise, Sasuke would in all probability go to Orochimaru, I still rooted for Naruto to bring him back all the way. It was so touching, and the action so wonderful, in those episodes.
I was cheered a little bit when Sasuke refused to kill his best friend and resolved to seek power in his own way. There's still hope for the brooding boy.
And Sasuke's leaving epitomised Sakura's great character development and the sad state of her power development...
It was new and different .
To be perfectly honest we all wanted to see who was stronger
But we can also blame him for the lame fillers
Yeah but still, Sasuke just left. And went to be with that useless bastard, Orochimaru. I was bummed out enough cause I couldn't see anymore of his chidori.
bah, i don't really like sasuke that much, so i don't really care that he left. to me, if he wants to give his body up to some pedophile snake, then so be it. then again, it kind of pissed me off when he left, and i think that ever since he went to orochimaru, he's gotten more arrogant.
maybe it
was a good thing he left, because if he hadn't, the story line and characters
wouldn't have been able to develop as much as they have.
also, makota, i think that maybe the reason for the fillers isn't just because of sasuke, but to keep the anime from catching up to the manga so quickly. maybe not though.
Yeah, poor Sakura and Naruto. Heartbreaking. I didn't care much for Sasuke, but he suddenly became a lot more interesting when he turned evil on us.
Not that we really did see who was stronger. Naruto was fighting to bring Sasuke back alive, if damaged, while Sasuke (up until the point he decided not to) was fighting to kill Naruto. This is exemplified when Naruto intentionally misses a very damaging hit he could have delivered on Sasuke and instead simply scratches his headband. All of these things effected the outcome of the fight.
Ok, how come there isn't just a "I was pleased" option in the polls? I mean... I was pleased to see that Sasuke left, because:
1- We get to see a Sasuke/Naruto fight (although it was true that Naruto wasn't fighting to kill)
2- We get to see products of drastically different learning environments (Orochimaru's Training vs. Jiraiya/Kakashi's Training)
I didn't think it was the right decision on Sasuke's part, but I wanted to see if giving in to his desires would really make him stronger than Itachi. As for Sakura... I couldn't care less. It was an infatuation that was never bound to work.
Angry, I just thought he was really stupid leaving his whole happy lifestyle that he just got all just for revenge. But at the same time I wasn't because I understood alittle. And when you think about it he was only like 13 at the time so you start to feel sad for him because going with that looney Orochimaru will make a complete mess of his life and he could turn out life that guy who could take the bones right out of his body. Who by the way ended up dying for Orochimaru.
