NWPers--this is, I must say, a rather sad set of affairs. Do any of you know when the last time anything was so much as conversed in the guestbook? Four weeks ago to the day. NWP has been dying since DC left for Bulgaria. Are you going to let this place die? I still consider myself a newbie in the group, and evidently that means that I'm the only one that still cares about it. Yes, it's summer, and yes, it's harder for many of us to get on. But should we just let the group die out entirely because of that? What of Artgeek's idea for an olympiad-style competition? Or a second Battle Royale? Summer is ending, and many of us are coming back to our schools. I challenge you, NWP, to use this period of change to change the course this project is taking--unless you would so easily fall from the heights of the new wave.

Well, with few ppl checking out NWP, its hard to decide what we should do since we don't get too see many admins on anyway these days. I still consider myself a NWPer and am willing to revive this group with a competition. Though, don't know which kind.

It'd be nice to get a show of hands of all those who are interested in participating in a competition, and when we get the numbers we might be able to figure something out (large number = knockout / possible Battle Royale II; smaller numer = Olympiad)

Hm... Olimpiad style competiton? with all those big, muscle-americanized-stories guys? UHU, Count me on... ... ... ok... my gay-advertiser-extreme make-over interior-decorator side just had to say that... now getting back to the normals...

I am willing to participate some contest as soon as no doujinshi contests were done yet (we had WARd, but I was helping to organize it... ok .. not that much)... But I am willing to creat something different, considering the levels of artists and designers that I always had as a reference in the group, I guess I am going to be the last one in every category, but who cares!

As long as we can get members active again, that'll help things along. I'm going to start thinking over/planning a second Battle Royale, even if we don't currently have the activity for it, for when we do--so that'll be something that we have to look forward to. Artgeek, feel free to take over from me if you want to--I'll still help, of course, but it was your project to begin with.

The W.A.R show that not all the wallers have the time to make something, also the battleground competition on AP is leeching the ideas of few of the wallers here, in my opinion first of all you need a date that helps to all the people, the ones that now are busy with the rl and the others that have already a competition

Well then if we have a date and then recruit the members, or either recruit the members and ask for a date, we can have another option of a round robin competition (we'll also ask how free everyone is and for how long- the shorter the time, the more challenging we can make it, like what you can make in 3 days or something). It can a mix of a Battle Royale and Olympiad- or anything the members want, like what Cldmani suggested- a Team Battle Royale.
I agree that if it does get the group up and alive once more, it's a good thing- even if it's shortlived, I think some members no matter how busy they are (like those not participating), would still be willing to follow the contest and at least write something expressing their (not interest but...) ... involvement at least as group members and on lookers/ audience.

Okay....i've been neglecting my poor group since i figured many of us were on vacation....at least not me. Anyway....from the rumblings i hear, i believe that the Olympiad will be a different enough competition (group style) and will hopefully help revive some creative juices.

AWWWWW...i missed you guys (and misa-chan too :* ) So let me hear some more ideas and i might fill you on some details about my "Olympiad project"...hehehehe
