why do you guys think that Seymore's aeon in FFX was named "anima"(female component of Self) and not "animus"(Male component of Self"?

it was all chained up and stuff..i didn't really get that character design...

Yup, if you go back to Anima's chamber after getting all the aeons, Seymour's mother appears and talks to you.
Well, actually, if you do that to all the Chamber of the Fayths, the aeons human form talks to you.

Definetly one of the best looking in terms of detail. I'll give it that.

The name Anima is Latin for "soul." In the psychology of Jung, the anima is the powerful feminine "inner self" which represents a person's deepest driving thoughts. Anima is also the spirit of Seymour's mother, sacrificed to protect him always.

it'll be weird to call it animus, wouldn't it?
