well i just feel like ill find a girl i would really like in japan. im planning
on going to a student exchange program to japan. I've already given up my
birthday and chrismas presents and im also trying to find a job so i can go . My
parents doesnt support my decision so im saving up myself *sigh*. the type of
girl i like is someone like Toujo Aya
from Ichigo 100%, someome cute and nice
and not too girly like and also one who has a dream something simila to mine if im lucky which is to become a mangaka

just tired of the type of girls in my school who are sooooo focused on
popularity and the latest trends and
also easily swayed by popular guys even if they're real jerks . oh well
i would just like to noe if you would find it abit too much to actually go this
far, and also if you noe the types of girls there in japan pleae please let me
know if theres a chance of finding someone like the girl im looking for in
japan. i wanna go now cuz i dont think ill have a very good chance after school
to find someone like the one im looking for . oh well

Firstly, it is wrong to hope to find anyone with anime looks (because they do
not exist in real life). Second, you are assuming that every girl around you is
as you said and that every girl in Japan won't likely follow the same trend?
Perhaps you are not looking hard (or trying to learn more) about those around
you. If I were you and thinking of travelling to Japan, I would be wanting to
learn more about their cultures and places to visit. Going there just because of
some hope of hooking up with a local is just absurd and dreamy in my
opinion.
Ahh get them to come to you instead like I did ^_^.. But yeah you need to have
more reasons than just liking Japanese for anything to work...unless you want to
just have something short term..Me and my g/f living for 7 months now.Shes from
Japan... but yeah don't think they all like Japan.... SHE HATES IT ALOT and
hates if I have any idol pics etc on my comp and more.. ahah Its not as easy as
you think , but if you put in hard work and have good reasons then its great..,

finding for Japanese penpal and emailed them,i tend to get reject when they
heard i am from Asian country.And most of the profiles wrote that they are
looking for westerners only.

actually the japan you see in any anime/manga. Wanting to go there so that you
can find GF that is "like a girl in xy series" is just plain nuts. I
mean you might as well start looking for one like that in your country, because
the chances are pretty much the same as far as I can see.
But hey, it's not my life so if you still want to do this then go for it. But
please consider what the people in this thread have told you.

overseas it's 150 kilometers...
it may not sound far but it's a pain to try traveling there with the
train....
