A pretty understandable, I think that now they just don't have the hype that the
used to. #8 was a really good one & so was 9 then 10 came it was like , then
when X-2 came out it was like .
not really...since every series is a different story..well except Final Fantasy
X and X-2 of cos...i never play X-2 i don't know,i think it won't be boring
afterall..
each game is unique in its own right. Ive only played FFX by myself, ive only
seen bits of what other people have played but it looks pretty
interesting
from what i remember FFX-2 is a side story to FFX and is set after the events of
it
hmm well some of them got real boring...X and X-2 were pretty stupid and too
easy...and then XI just made me hate SquareEnix forever because it's just not
Final Fantasy to me anymore...it's just an MMORPG like any other but just using
the Final Fantasy name. So yeah the last 3 so far have been pretty easy and
boring.
I love playing 5 6 7 8 and 9 over again though. They have such great storylines
:-D
Personally, I want FF series really to be in fantasy realm...
I mean... More magic than machine.
Of course, storyplot is the most important of all.
IMHO, the 6th deserves to be the best, followed by the 7th and 9th. 8th? Well,
it looks like some school drama for me. But the soundtracks are amazing!
I don't really know I've only played final fantasy 8 and 9, totally love them@
and have seen the game play in x2 and movie in 7, since it kinds of vary in
different final fantasy, there cant be any real comparisons.... but yes maybe,
the standard in some final fantasy games have dropped....
Since FFX, FFXI and FFX-2, I wondered if FF will ever be good again. I'll tell
ya I'm currently playing FFXII, it an addicting game, the new battle system is a
very nice change after you get the hang of the controls, takes 1-2 hours or so.
It feels almost like a single player MMORPG. Look forward to it.
They do get boring, sometimes. Then the story could get interesting and just
pull me right in. Just depends on if you are more bored with the system or are
you bored with the story of the particular game. Maybe bored of the characters!
Don't know. Only reason i would be bored of FF games would be that they are too
hard to beat and takes too much time out of my day
I'd say they do, there is nothing more boring than sitting through a
summon/spell cutscene for the billionth time. Also levelling up can get pretty
boring too. Its a turn based RPG, its bound to have its moments of boredom, of
course Chrono Trigger managed to avoid that, maybe SqaureEnix could learn from
their past as to what is a good battle system, of course with XII and XIII it
seems they've realised it was time for a change.
I think some of the FF are good and also some of the FF I like are FFI-FFIX and
i think FFX is the boring one because its junction is very confusing so i
sold mine at the very first time i saw the junction and I Love to play the !BITZ
BALL!
and i got boring when i play it in FF-2 sad because your the MANAGER I hate it
it's really boring i wish that they didin't change the game

! Wad blasphemy is this? Final Fantasy ever get boring? NEVER! Final Fantasy is
a series with a different story every single game! Or at least almost every
single game. How can it get boring? The combat system is always tweaked somehow
also. Its at the forefront of RPG games. How can you even suggest its
boring...
Nevermind. I'm over-reacting. I know. But you get the gist on my stand...
The only two FF games I deem boring or uninteresting is Final Fantasy X-2 and
Final Fantasy XI. I hate the WoW-style of FFXI. Its bad enough we got WoW and
the like but to have that game, it puts shame upon all FF games. FFX-2...well
frankly put it feels like a repeat of FFX, just with Yuna as the main character
than Tidus.
Hey umm well, i have played X-2 and Shane-kun, it was hell fun and lovely
adventures to me and hell, the music rocks, it was sooooo damn great.....u have
to play it don't miss it, it was better than X.
I think it never gets boring!
at least I would never get bored by FF's
I think this is because each has different characters and stories(well, except
FFX-2 - wich was disappointing for me...)

The only similarity between WoW and FFXI is that they are both MMOs. Otherwise,
they are at the opposite ends of the spectrum. WoW's graphics are much different
than FFXI's and the battle systems are in no way similiar. Soloing is practical
in WoW, whereas in FFXI only beastmasters can solo to 75 without too much of a
headache (although a semi-recent update has put a damper on that tidbit). In
WoW, pvp is almost everywhere, while in FFXI its hardly a part of mainstream
play. The economies are drastically different, WoW has a greater emphesis on
Instances, but the class/race limits are much stricter in WoW.
So tell me, in what way is FFXI a "WoW-style" game? Lets completely
disregard the fact that FFXI came first.
Ignoring the logical fallacy when attempting to compare two people's utility,
I'd say that Final Fantasy games aren't boring the first go around because
Square is rather creative in the construction of the games. Each new FF is
different, due to the completely redesigned systems of play, with the occasional
dose of nostalgia. I recognize that my opinion probably isn't shared by
everyone, because some people may find FFVIII to be a horrible game and fall
head over heels for FFX.

Blasphemy? Sounds more like honesty to me. 'Tweaking' a battle system isn't
enough to make it fresh. A different story line isn't enough to justify the
verbatim reuse of a mechanic. I know FF has undergone some pretty dramatic
changes over time, but between iterations it can often seem like very little was
changed. Luckily the formula is so strong that the quality of the game helps to
overlook these small issues.
It think 7 is boring. Over-ratted and milked out too much. The sequals sucked
too. I was really bored with X-2. The rehashed the exact same level and it felt
the same and also the weak storie that accopanied it. It is boring. I always
look forward to the newer ones because of new stories.

Guess what. Everyone has a different taste with FF series. So, from my opinion, it don't get me boring.

it gets boring after your 2000th playthru...
No as long as they have a good story line i think i will always enjoy playing it
however i found that playing shadow hearts is a lot more fun than FF.
But in my opinion ff8 (most people disagree with me) was the most fun lol but that was probably because it was the first rpg i ever played.
hey same,FFVIII was my first rpg i played as well and agree that it was the most fun

Nah, its not bad. I play it from time to time. I does kinda get addicting after awhile because of the story hehe.

I think he just means exactly that--that FFXI is an MMO. Maybe he just doesn't like MMOs in general. It's possible (I don't either).

Put it this way, people criticise FF for being overrated or boring all the time. I have never heard anyone criticise Chrono Trigger ever.
