In the world today the biggest thing is raceism. Now

black kid in a white and mexican state so it might be me.
I dont think the biggest thing today is racism. The biggest thing today is
gender discrimination. I think these two things can be worked in together
however.

I think it's both gender discrimination and racism that are the main problems.
Though I think that most of these attitudes are influenced during the child
period. It is kinda hard to make people change but whatever.
Discrimination comes from those whose hearts do not accept others. Although you
cannot make everyone accept you, that doesn't mean you can't live proudly in the
open. For one thing I agree with jasa here that we shouldn't let these things
get the best of us. Complaining about it isn't going to solve anything. Of
course I just don't agree with how jasa puts his point across. You can force all
people to see your way either. Different strokes for different folks and we're
back to square one. We have to accept these different strokes.
I wouldn't necessariily say racism is the biggest issue.
In any case, I don't think there's much more you can do to stop it. You can put
laws in place to stop people mistreating others because of race, but you can't
stop a person thinking that they don't like someone because of their race. And a
lot of it is just about how people think, not necessarily how they act
outwardly.

racism isn't as alarming as terrorism. but even terrorism aren't that worriying
to many countries, only precautions are practised.
so, in general we're all the same. there's no such thing as white or black. no
such thing as westerners, africans, chinese, japanese or whatever. the fact that
many don't know is some whites are mixed from somewhere other than whites. take
this example of japanese. most aren't true japanese, but are a mix from chinese
and mongolians in ancient times.

Yeah it's really big, but I mean it's not like the #1 thing you know. I don't
know how to halp change it, becasuse people are always going to be racist,
there's no way to change it.
Coming from a family that's IS racist (this doesn't include me) I'll have to
tell you there probably isn't anyway to solve it. Racist people are the most
stubborn asses out there -__-'. No matter what I try to tell my family members
they just laugh it off and ignore me. They do say things about black people,
muslim people, or generally anyone that isn't russian. My step-dad says
Americans have no culture, my parents (and probably most of my family) say
muslim people are all the same (I definetly opposed this since I had a half
muslim friend once but they won't change their minds on the topic). And since
they grew up in Russia where there were probably NO blacks at the time they tend
to say things about black people as well. While we were flipping through
channels one day (it was that show about that rapper? I don't remember his name
who turns peoples crappy cars into amazing ones..I like the show but yah..) I
wanted to watch that but my grandma was like 'no I don't want to watch black
people shows' or whatever..it pissed me off so much I wanted to stab a fork in
her head - <...ugh racism is the most annoying thing in the world, I hate my
family for it (not completely I just hate that aspect of them and how they are
always sarcastic and crap towards other races).
But after all that and having to deal with it I must say its not the #1 problem
facing the world today (I mean that's just my dumbass family, I know there are
plenty of people out there that aren't as bad as they are). I agree with
dutchforce who says religious differences is the biggest thing the world now.

todays world people are such religious fanatics over things. Especially America,
the extremely religious people are SCARY oO! I mean I've heard this from others
as well including foreigners..one guy from England (in my class) said that here
in America there are tons of religious people and they take it to the extreme. I
mean it's alright to believe in God but don't take things too far that 1)you
want to convert other people 2) say your religion is better then someone else's
3) hurt someone just because they don't believe the same things you do 4) try to
bring religion in with state (damn Bush -___- such an idiot). Many other things
but I won't state them all (oh and when I say 'you' i'm not actually meaning
you, i'm meaning all those people out there that are like this.

breakthrough book of human's concsience and how America has blatanly annihilated
the hopes of millions of people. Religious discrimination, gender discrimination

I live in YUCATÃN, MÃXICO. Here happens something quite ironic.
Our culture and race is mixed between Spanish and Amerindian. Like in
"Dance with Wolves", before the Hernan Corters came, a survival from a
shipwreck named Gonzalo Guerrero married a Mayan princess, and had the first
mixed-blooded (mestizos).
I'm a mestizo. I have blood O RH+. The "RH" blood is European,
"O" is mayan. But my skin is white.
Despite having the same origin, we have kind of a caste system, depending in the
color of your skin and social and economical class.
A century and a half ago that originated a BLOODIEST social war in Mexico.
Mayans against Spanish. There were not so many mestizos in those times, and were
hated by both.
Towns dissapeared, men and children killed, women kidnapedd and raped. From both
bands. In the dry season, you can see the ruins of Colonial haciendas and towns
in the forest.
Now, mestizos are the majority. The people of Yucatan is pacific, warm and
proud. I would like to say that we're equal, but that woldn't be the truth.
Social scars still exist. And the whites and blonds still believe they're the
upper class. And the dark skinned mayans have few opportunities and are mostly
poor.
Despite 150 years, racism still exist here. And everywhere.

you see, the skin color is caused by melanin in the skin..
these cell parts take the sunlight and sort of process it and reflect it to
protect from skin cancer..
white people are prone to cancer more than blacks because their melanin does not
work just as efficiently...
so you see, if you take a black person to live in africa or alaska, he will
survive just fine
but if you take a white person and make him live in africa..hahahaha
skin cancer would be his problem in no time...
so you see, what i want to understand is how come the whites think themselves
superior when they cannot live in almost half the world?
(well i am not black nor white...just tanned...so i am in the middle...with no
negative feelings except towards racists)

that are racism..I believe in my multi-cultural,multi-religion and multi-race
country there are still some who are racism though a lot of us have learnt to
accept these things centuries ago..I'm a chinese...and there are three main race
in my country all of different colour but yet we can live together in peace and
even marry each other even we are of different colour,culture and religion.I
dislike people who are racism,they are those who are stubborn.But there are even
people out there who think my country's people live on trees!Maybe it is another
type of discrimination,but one thing is clear,nobody can stop racism because it
is something that comes from a person's heart..It all depends on how that person
was nurtured,it's the parents that decide this all.

maybe friendships blossom from them, it does not matter if they are form
different races..! people who are your friends are those who improtant to you,
care for you dun backstab you and trust you not matter what, both of you count

love my friend no matter what religion or race their from..! so i will be

i reckon its religious dicrimination and racism thats the worst.

Sometimes racism is almost.. programmed into someone's brain. If you come from a very racist family, you will grow up being racist.
It's possible to break the habit but it takes quite a lot of.. willpower? =P
