i was just wondering for a while now, is it really true about like the cat that
isnt on the zodiac and other stuff from fruits baskets? r those really chinese
legends? just wondering....
yeah those are the legends. Its ture that the cat came last and the mouse came
first because it jumped on the ox's back. Well... thats all i remember from my
japanese play anyways
yes. For
your enquiry on the Zodiac Stories. How accurate the legends are even the
Historians don't know yet. The only cat that is in the Zodiac is the Tiger.
No, not the cat that is the Mouse's best friend. That Cat was never in the
Zodiac Circle anyway. It came in last in the race but all 12 places were taken
already. Too bad for it.
Sad outcome.
Actually, Sukumei, the Impish Mouse was sitting on the Nose of the ox. (Dangling
a Carrot) It's alright. You were right too. There are lots of variance of the Zodiac
story. Example: where the mouse was on when the ox was nearing the goal. Sadly, both
took advantage of Ox's good nature to cross river since they are bad
swimmers.
The original legend is Chinese. Japan uses the legends because a large portion
of their culture, language, and some of their myths are adapted from that of the
Chinese. There are several variations, but the 2 most popular are these: the rat
told the cat that the banquet was on a different day, or the rat pushed the cat
off the ox they were using to cross a river and the cat lost the race to become
a zodiac animal.
oh that is not nice of the rat!
haha anyway i have no idea which legend, but it is interesting...legends, myths,
all those stories sure are cool and interesting to listen to!
Although thats mean, thats life as well, survival of the fittest. It's just the
way the world works thats why i like there stories they are always right and
teaching you stuff, no matter the condition
