These are two of my deleted wallpapers and I hope you like them. The first one is called 'Beautiful Day' and is with

Just a note, there's nothing wrong with "simple", as long as the
composition looks nice and complete .
Many people confuse "simple" with "lack of
completion/effort".
Anyway, about your wallpapers, the Naruto one, I can see some slight extraction
problems. it's evident on the girls' arms. It seems that in places you've
decided to take out the outline but kept them in in other places. Also, if
they're kneeling, how about putting some shadows on the ground to keep them
"grounded" ie, not just floating in space. The perspective looks a bit
off on the grey area, maybe add some textures. You don't need to put all those
butterflies everywhere. Maybe a few around the words and somewhere on the right
would be enough. Also, the clouds could be slightly better defined, and try
using a gradient for the sky to liven it up a bit.
As for the second one, you've got a mismatch of style there. The words are
grundgy, but the scan and effects are bright and happy. If you wanna keep those
words (which usually isn't a good idea btw), you gotta make the background theme
darker in colour and style. Maybe a spooky night scene or something like that.
Also, the blue that you've used as the base colour for the background doesn't
quite matche the scan. The scan has little to no blue in it. maybe dark red or
black would work better. Also, I think you need a bit more than filters and
brushes in the background.
I really like them, though they're a bit fuzzy, with ill-defined lines. I love
the Greek/Roman goddess look of the girls in Naruto; very cool, and the second
one has a nice, sort of calming feeling to it.
Another reason your Naruto one might be deleted is because the scan you've used
isn't official art, rather, it's fanart done by someone at deviantART. And
according to the policies:

They are nice. But the bgs could be better. First one is realy nice, but the bg
texture is ugly... Second one look cool but blury anyway I like the first one

The first wall,no offence,the background is too simple,the place you pur the
characters doesn't suit them....a few of mine got deleted because the background
was too simple..The second one,the background is too blurry just as agilius-san
said..
