I was watching an Ad for that 3LBs show... and the quote was " does God

This made me realy think, did Man really make up God, or a higher power just to
explain the things that we couldn't understand and give us something to live
for, or did God or a Higher being make us to do his bidding?
If a higher power made us, for what purpose? Why are we really here?
yes, man can create god...False dead Gods indeed ...
Not bidding, but Wars between Good and evil, Hints and losts path from

In order to that "original status" (Adam before he is descended into
earth). Someone Must Become True servant and True representative God.
man makes god. because he and all other gods are myths and legends until proven
otherwise.
but why of all the gods, did the God not fall to mythology such as the others
before him did?! like the roman, norse, egyptian, or aztec gods. is it only
reasonable to believe that only one god can rule and not many?! or maybe the
storys behind these gods are not plosible and seem unreal?! or maybe they have
just been forgotten, but why not the God? is his storys so much more real than
the others? or does his lessons in life teach more than the others do?
Religion forges morals and traditions that many follow. However, without any
believers, the existence of God would be completely hidden to us. So, both are
true to a certain extent.
I totally agree with blueink, both are co-existant. Without morals civilization
would crumble and bad stuff would go down- no real elaboration needed there. But
humans have God or gods to explain the beginnings of such morals and such gods
give explanation to questions that sometimes do not have a definite answer. As
for me man made God, but that is not to say one doesn't or hasn't already
existed, it is a paradox that would perhaps require a further study into the
adept human mind rather than a study on religions...
i know i would be sacriligous to my religion but indeed man did make god. I

Legends, or myths? A legend is something either like a myth or something that
happened and was a hero of some sort or something reknown. Also it can mean
something that's gone way to far into the past that it's information has been
distorted.
Quote: but why of all the gods, did

roman, norse, egyptian, or aztec gods.
The gods of their time did last, until the Europeans came over and destoryed
their culture. Had the Europeans never come to the Americas, the Aztec Gods
would still be alive, the Roman gods of old were also taken over by Christian
and Jewish faiths.
God made men, whatever your religion is, but then we can also say men made God,
because this is so abstract that you can't prove that God existed or not
well did God created us? MAYBE. how did you know? this is based on faith. then
what about men made God? MAYBE. why? it's faith again.
Problem is that we choose sides very ligthly. Without accepting all the
consecuences of our beliefs. Like the New Age, that make their own beliefs as
they suit them.
If you proclaim yourself as an atheist, and choose materialism, you'll say that
God is a sublimation of our matter brain, just like anything abstract or
artistic that comes out of it. God is an invention.
But then, you'll have to accept that man is only a wheel of the big machine of
society, at the service of the ideals of the country. The individual person
means nothing. You'll work for the state and you belong to the state.
That's why the Soviet Union works so well and China and Cuba enjoy of such
freedom!
Nowadays, it'll mean that, whatever you like or not, an atheist is practically
an isolated person. His/her very own wheel, not part of a machine, but spinning
around its own center, self-concerned. Yes, he or she could be sorrounded by
many people, but alone anyway. Why? Because he/she can choose who to respect or
whom to not. Who'll be loved or not.
No matter ethics, love feeds from love, and it is exercised by reaching the
other people, the ones you like and those you wouldn't like very much to reach.
Those that you consider ignorants, supertituos, unworthy. WORST OF ALL, HE/SHE
CAN HAVE PROBLEMS REACHING THEIR OWN FAMILY AND FRIENDS.
Am I wrong? Whoever who is an atheist and feels his/her life is in perfect
armony with the people closer to him/her, you can shut me up.
On the other hand, if you accept that God created Humans, you'll have to respect
the other people as your equals, and more. You'll have to reach them, even if
they reject you. You'll have to behabe. You'll accept all the conditions and
morality of you religion. You'll be considered a fanatic, a retrogad, or at a
very least, a boring or annoying person. But you'll have hope. And you'll know
how to love.
I have to admit that some religious persons can fall in fanatism and become
really annoying. And some religions are fanatic inerhently. They can become
extremist in their point of view, and forgot that Man has to be flexible. The
secret is in not force anyone's will. That respect is basical. If your example
convinces someone, he/she will follow.

What the hell did you just say there... what does our soul eat? Does our soul
eat god?
True, indeed. Souls "eat" God. Especially in Catholicism. But many
wouldn't understand this. Why? Perhaps they haven't felt the emptiness of not
having a God.
Want to know why? Because we "fill" that emptiness with MATERIAL
things. We fill it with noise. We may also fill it with a false pride, thinking
we are always rigth, and the others wrong.
Anyone likes music? I do. But we may fill our minds with NOISE, anything that
makes us avoid being in silence, think and confornt our inners demons. Nobody
likes to confront them, so we avoid them.
A soul (or mind, if you prefer) is like a well. A well can be filled with
garbage, and the water beneat never be reached.
If you clean the well and go deeper and deeper, you'll find the water. Your
inner self. Your feelings. ANd you can pull out that water from the well, and
SHARE THAT WATER WITH THE THISTY. DIRECTLY FROM YOU.
I dare you to go out and reach some troubled kid. If you have already done this,
you'll know that a "soul" feeds on something "abstract"
Heh, I was one of the troubled kids, actually. In fact, I was THE troubled kid.
I never got into trouble academically because I was really useful to my school
and my country (trust me, being in the Indonesian Math Olympic team really help
with the school bit), but boy, did I get into trouble. I had one of my mates
murdered in front of me, and got into fights. I was in a gang, and all that
jazz.
Now, you dared people to reach troubled kids? Fine, I will just tell you what I
needed, and what I did to get out of it. I needed someone to accept me as I was,
and to just care about me. I had really low self esteem, and basically, I kept
thinking that everyone's just using me because I was smarter. I kept being told
that I was ugly, and that I was too tall, and that I was really not much use had
I not been brainy. So, what did I need? I need to wake myself up and know that
that's just what life is. A struggle to stay afloat. Other people want to stay
afloat, too, and they stay afloat by hoping to drown you. So, what do you do?
You ignore them and work your own way in life.
But you know what? I am proud I was in a gang. I am proud I was in trouble
before. I am proud I've witnessed a murder. I am proud to have been in trouble
before. I think it's bloody useful, having all those experience. I think, by
being all those, I know what life is like. Life is not a picnic where everyone
sing hosannah all day. Life is based on one principle, and one principle only.
Survival of the fittest.
So, yeah. You try preaching to those kids about religion. Lol. I think it might
work with a very little portion of them, but mostly, they just need some time to
be in trouble, some time to find their way out. Sure, you can help by just
accepting them as they are. If you want to tell them about religion, go ahead,
but really, what they need is acceptance.
Another thing about this soul business. I can say the same about you and your
principle. Think about it. You are too lazy to find inner peace within yourself.
Just within yourself, no outside thing whatsoever, no god, no jesus, no
muhammad, noone else, just you. Can you just shut everything down and be in
peace? Or are you going to desperately claw on to god to fill the emptiness
with? Sure, you'll say, "but god is in me", etc. Well, that's what you
think... are you sure those are not the devil? From what I heard, those pesky
little buggers are pretty good in disguising themselves, no? So?
On topic, I think man made god. That's why god is so... man-like. It speaks, it
creates, it rests... Some people wonder about roman and greek gods. Well, they
are still alive. Some people still believe in them, as devoted as these
christians/muslims/whatever, I'd say. Ever wonder where they all go? Look no
further than your own copy of bible. Jesus is the amalgamation of almost all the
gods known to human kind. Ever wonder why christmas is in december? Well,
because that's when the pagan's winter solstice used to be. I mean, seriously,
read your bible, if the shepherds are sleeping outdoors, do you think it could
be december? Yeah. In the panic attempt to spread christianity to the pagan
(which actually means country-dweller), christianity absorbs a lot of the pagan
holiday.
So, summing these up. Yes, I think man made god up. Men are too weak to survive
without the hope of eternal after life and all that wonderful fairy tale, so,
they made up god and heaven and hell. Therefore, here we are.
And on that note, no, I am not going to post anymore on this thread. So, yeah,
even when you say stupid things, I think I have said enough with this post.
god made man. this is said true in the bible. now it can be argued either way,
because man makes false gods, but as far as man making GOD, its not the way it
is.
Glad that my post called upon your attention, and glad you answered some good
points.
Have you heard of Camelot? It's a British legend. About a man that was and will
be king. Becuse he dreamed of a place were justice and peace prevailed. Where
all men would be treated as equals. He fougth for it. He was betrayed. And
ultimately, killed.
Quote by babyLemonHeh, I was one of the

That means you're a strong person. I like people who have been challenged by
life. They're the ones who makes the world move around. Especially if they are
brigth. Good.
Quote by babyLemonNow, you dared people
to reach troubled kids? Fine, I will just tell you what I needed, and what I did
to get out of it. I needed someone to accept me as I was, and to just care about

I was too tall, and that I was really not much use had I not been

I went trouth almost the same, I'm chronological depressive. Low self esteem,
and very enraged during my teen years. Those were difficult years, having a
selfish, rancouros and uncaring father, who enjoyed with my defeats. Kids always
mocking at me because of my physical defects (escoleosis, an hear without I was
still a strong kid, and tried to help my mother the best as I could.
The depression is in the genes, but you need something to trigger it. I bit the
dust seriously. Have you ever wondered how it feels to be an animal? I did. For
six months. I could barely think, and rage was on the surface always. Just
because I was used since a child to swallow my rage I didn't do anything to
other person.
But I did a lot of damage to myself. Physically and emotionally. And I needed a
whole year and a half to barely have a more or less normal life. And because is
such a stong depression, it comes and goes until today. Luckily, I don't fall
again to those levels. But a cousin of mine couldn't stand his own depression
and killed himself.
Quote by babyLemonSo, what did I need?
I need to wake myself up and know that that's just what life is. A struggle to
stay afloat. Other people want to stay afloat, too, and they stay afloat by
hoping to drown you. So, what do you do? You ignore them and work your own way

Agreed. Here in Mexico we call that "the law of the crabs" You don't
need to put a lid on a boucket full of crabs, if one tries to go out, the others
will pull it down. Usually the first ones to pull you down is your own family.
Good for you that fougth and went afloat. BUT YOU CAN'T JUST WIN AND STAY UP
THERE. I know, it's everyone's dream. I'll tell you why in a moment.
Quote by babyLemonBut you know what? I
am proud I was in a gang. I am proud I was in trouble before. I am proud I've
witnessed a murder. I am proud to have been in trouble before. I think it's
bloody useful, having all those experience. I think, by being all those, I know
what life is like. Life is not a picnic where everyone sing hosannah all
day.
Good thing you're proud of that. I'm proud to have crowled back to civil life.
And being part animal. But I think you misunderstood something. I don't sing
hossanna all day. Nor we teach that to the kids. My father is still here (well,
he learned to respect me, for my rage periods, but no, I didn't hit him). I'm
already 33 and althougth I have a normal life, I think that I have still to find
my way.
The children don't sing hossanna neither. It's a mindwiping factory. We teach to
the kids that they can be better people than his parents. They are hit, they
have only single mothers, their fathers are drunks, etc. Still, they want to
hear about love. And they come by their own feet.
By the way, I'm the black sheep of my group. my function in it is not to sing
hossanna.
Quote by babyLemonLife is based on one
principle, and one principle only. Survival of the
fittest.
I don't agree with you. I challenge survival of the fittest. I believe in
caring, protecting, loving. Not only the kids. Try picking up a kitten abandoned
in the streeth (have done that wth about a dozen), and you'll be defeating
"survival of the fittest".
It's sad to know you believe in such a thing. Yes, you told me where you come
from. But you'll be isolating yourself. Not caring truly about others. What do
you teach to others? Rage? Crush the weakest? I sincerely hope you change your
mind. Because you'll learn to use your hard-earned STRENGTH TO PROTECT AND
TEACH. Otherwise, one day an animal bigger than you will come and eat you alive.
And it'll be survival of the fittest. Devoured by your own law.
It's not easy to be accepted by the children. Some mates have been hit, always
insulted. But we receive that rage and don't turn it back. Why? Masochism. Ha,
no, it's for love.
Quote by babyLemonSo, yeah. You try

Acceptance is what we give. I wouldn't change them. Everyone is unique. The
weak, the happy, the bully... They come and hug you. And they want you to hug
them.
Last year we were just six cathequist, the old four (me, a marriage about 27
both, and one 26) and two kids. Today we are 22. All kids from the neighborhood.
Because we insisted. And again, they came AND STAYED, TO TEACH THE SAME THEY
WERE TAUGTH.

You didn't get it. you can't give what you don't have. I'm not lazy. Lazy? Why?
I didn't get it. It's a lot of work and time that you give. It's a sacrifice.
Have you tried to really shut everything down? Confront your own demons in the
silence? To let them shout everything you hate about yourself? About others? To
let them remind you your failures, to fill you with hopelessness?
It's a scary land to walk.
I'm not desesperately clawing to God. You don't know how many times I have tried
to get rid from him. But He doesn't let me. He's tricky. Once he called me with
my friends and a girl I was in love with. She left, she didn't want to give more
of her time. My friends did too. I stayed with a new gwnwration of cathequists.
Once He came and knocked my door. I had quited teaching cathecism and a friewnd
came to told me to help him with his group. I went. Two months later, he quited,
and I stayed with those 8-year old in my hands.
No, devils don't disguise in angels nor God. It's a rule. They disguise in
money, power, envy, lust, fear, hopelessness, selfishness, easy life. Who could
resist? Angels look boring.

Teach me something new! One of my hobbies is mithology, superstitions and
religions. Jesus maybe was born in april, when the sheephers take the sheep to
open land. In the decembers was celebrated the shamaheim in the northrn lands,
by the celts. The hope of the return of the sun. Jesus is the hope of the ligth.
See why?.
Well, you're a strong girl. And very smart. I didn't wanted to diminish or be
unrespectfull of your battles and beliefs. Just didn't want mine to be
diminished.
You can make a quantum leap in your life, if from your already won battles you
try to expierence the reach of the other, the needed. They don' have to be
troubled teens. And please, open your hand to the unffitting.
You may call me a poor looser and a dreamer, BUT I PREFER TO FIGTH FOR CAMELOT
THAN BECOMING PART OF THE SURVIVAL OF THE FITTEST. I think it needs bravery. And
be a little crazy, too.

Anyone likes music? I do. But we may fill our minds with NOISE, anything that makes us avoid being in silence, think and confornt our inners demons. Nobody likes to confront them, so we avoid them.
A soul (or mind, if you prefer) is like a well. A well can be filled with garbage, and the water beneat never be reached.
If you clean the well and go deeper and deeper, you'll find the water. Your inner self. Your feelings. ANd you can pull out that water from the well, and SHARE THAT WATER WITH THE THISTY. DIRECTLY FROM YOU.
I dare you to go out and reach some troubled kid. If you have already done this, you'll know that a "soul" feeds on something "abstract"
Heh, I was one of the troubled kids, actually. In fact, I was THE troubled kid. I never got into trouble academically because I was really useful to my school and my country (trust me, being in the Indonesian Math Olympic team really help with the school bit), but boy, did I get into trouble. I had one of my mates murdered in front of me, and got into fights. I was in a gang, and all that jazz.
Now, you dared people to reach troubled kids? Fine, I will just tell you what I needed, and what I did to get out of it. I needed someone to accept me as I was, and to just care about me. I had really low self esteem, and basically, I kept thinking that everyone's just using me because I was smarter. I kept being told that I was ugly, and that I was too tall, and that I was really not much use had I not been brainy. So, what did I need? I need to wake myself up and know that that's just what life is. A struggle to stay afloat. Other people want to stay afloat, too, and they stay afloat by hoping to drown you. So, what do you do? You ignore them and work your own way in life.
But you know what? I am proud I was in a gang. I am proud I was in trouble before. I am proud I've witnessed a murder. I am proud to have been in trouble before. I think it's bloody useful, having all those experience. I think, by being all those, I know what life is like. Life is not a picnic where everyone sing hosannah all day. Life is based on one principle, and one principle only. Survival of the fittest.
So, yeah. You try preaching to those kids about religion. Lol. I think it might work with a very little portion of them, but mostly, they just need some time to be in trouble, some time to find their way out. Sure, you can help by just accepting them as they are. If you want to tell them about religion, go ahead, but really, what they need is acceptance.
Another thing about this soul business. I can say the same about you and your principle. Think about it. You are too lazy to find inner peace within yourself. Just within yourself, no outside thing whatsoever, no god, no jesus, no muhammad, noone else, just you. Can you just shut everything down and be in peace? Or are you going to desperately claw on to god to fill the emptiness with? Sure, you'll say, "but god is in me", etc. Well, that's what you think... are you sure those are not the devil? From what I heard, those pesky little buggers are pretty good in disguising themselves, no? So?
On topic, I think man made god. That's why god is so... man-like. It speaks, it creates, it rests... Some people wonder about roman and greek gods. Well, they are still alive. Some people still believe in them, as devoted as these christians/muslims/whatever, I'd say. Ever wonder where they all go? Look no further than your own copy of bible. Jesus is the amalgamation of almost all the gods known to human kind. Ever wonder why christmas is in december? Well, because that's when the pagan's winter solstice used to be. I mean, seriously, read your bible, if the shepherds are sleeping outdoors, do you think it could be december? Yeah. In the panic attempt to spread christianity to the pagan (which actually means country-dweller), christianity absorbs a lot of the pagan holiday.
So, summing these up. Yes, I think man made god up. Men are too weak to survive without the hope of eternal after life and all that wonderful fairy tale, so, they made up god and heaven and hell. Therefore, here we are.
And on that note, no, I am not going to post anymore on this thread. So, yeah, even when you say stupid things, I think I have said enough with this post.
mad made god,
By the way, hi again.
god made man. this is said true in the bible. now it can be argued either way, because man makes false gods, but as far as man making GOD, its not the way it is.
Hi, babyLemon.
Glad that my post called upon your attention, and glad you answered some good points.
Have you heard of Camelot? It's a British legend. About a man that was and will be king. Becuse he dreamed of a place were justice and peace prevailed. Where all men would be treated as equals. He fougth for it. He was betrayed. And ultimately, killed.
That means you're a strong person. I like people who have been challenged by life. They're the ones who makes the world move around. Especially if they are brigth. Good.
I went trouth almost the same, I'm chronological depressive. Low self esteem, and very enraged during my teen years. Those were difficult years, having a selfish, rancouros and uncaring father, who enjoyed with my defeats. Kids always mocking at me because of my physical defects (escoleosis, an hear without I was still a strong kid, and tried to help my mother the best as I could.
The depression is in the genes, but you need something to trigger it. I bit the dust seriously. Have you ever wondered how it feels to be an animal? I did. For six months. I could barely think, and rage was on the surface always. Just because I was used since a child to swallow my rage I didn't do anything to other person.
But I did a lot of damage to myself. Physically and emotionally. And I needed a whole year and a half to barely have a more or less normal life. And because is such a stong depression, it comes and goes until today. Luckily, I don't fall again to those levels. But a cousin of mine couldn't stand his own depression and killed himself.
Agreed. Here in Mexico we call that "the law of the crabs" You don't need to put a lid on a boucket full of crabs, if one tries to go out, the others will pull it down. Usually the first ones to pull you down is your own family. Good for you that fougth and went afloat. BUT YOU CAN'T JUST WIN AND STAY UP THERE. I know, it's everyone's dream. I'll tell you why in a moment.
Good thing you're proud of that. I'm proud to have crowled back to civil life. And being part animal. But I think you misunderstood something. I don't sing hossanna all day. Nor we teach that to the kids. My father is still here (well, he learned to respect me, for my rage periods, but no, I didn't hit him). I'm already 33 and althougth I have a normal life, I think that I have still to find my way.
The children don't sing hossanna neither. It's a mindwiping factory. We teach to the kids that they can be better people than his parents. They are hit, they have only single mothers, their fathers are drunks, etc. Still, they want to hear about love. And they come by their own feet.
By the way, I'm the black sheep of my group. my function in it is not to sing hossanna.
I don't agree with you. I challenge survival of the fittest. I believe in caring, protecting, loving. Not only the kids. Try picking up a kitten abandoned in the streeth (have done that wth about a dozen), and you'll be defeating "survival of the fittest".
It's sad to know you believe in such a thing. Yes, you told me where you come from. But you'll be isolating yourself. Not caring truly about others. What do you teach to others? Rage? Crush the weakest? I sincerely hope you change your mind. Because you'll learn to use your hard-earned STRENGTH TO PROTECT AND TEACH. Otherwise, one day an animal bigger than you will come and eat you alive. And it'll be survival of the fittest. Devoured by your own law.
It's not easy to be accepted by the children. Some mates have been hit, always insulted. But we receive that rage and don't turn it back. Why? Masochism. Ha, no, it's for love.
Acceptance is what we give. I wouldn't change them. Everyone is unique. The weak, the happy, the bully... They come and hug you. And they want you to hug them.
Last year we were just six cathequist, the old four (me, a marriage about 27 both, and one 26) and two kids. Today we are 22. All kids from the neighborhood. Because we insisted. And again, they came AND STAYED, TO TEACH THE SAME THEY WERE TAUGTH.
You didn't get it. you can't give what you don't have. I'm not lazy. Lazy? Why? I didn't get it. It's a lot of work and time that you give. It's a sacrifice.
Have you tried to really shut everything down? Confront your own demons in the silence? To let them shout everything you hate about yourself? About others? To let them remind you your failures, to fill you with hopelessness?
It's a scary land to walk.
I'm not desesperately clawing to God. You don't know how many times I have tried to get rid from him. But He doesn't let me. He's tricky. Once he called me with my friends and a girl I was in love with. She left, she didn't want to give more of her time. My friends did too. I stayed with a new gwnwration of cathequists. Once He came and knocked my door. I had quited teaching cathecism and a friewnd came to told me to help him with his group. I went. Two months later, he quited, and I stayed with those 8-year old in my hands.
No, devils don't disguise in angels nor God. It's a rule. They disguise in money, power, envy, lust, fear, hopelessness, selfishness, easy life. Who could resist? Angels look boring.
Teach me something new! One of my hobbies is mithology, superstitions and religions. Jesus maybe was born in april, when the sheephers take the sheep to open land. In the decembers was celebrated the shamaheim in the northrn lands, by the celts. The hope of the return of the sun. Jesus is the hope of the ligth. See why?.
Well, you're a strong girl. And very smart. I didn't wanted to diminish or be unrespectfull of your battles and beliefs. Just didn't want mine to be diminished.
You can make a quantum leap in your life, if from your already won battles you try to expierence the reach of the other, the needed. They don' have to be troubled teens. And please, open your hand to the unffitting.
You may call me a poor looser and a dreamer, BUT I PREFER TO FIGTH FOR CAMELOT THAN BECOMING PART OF THE SURVIVAL OF THE FITTEST. I think it needs bravery. And be a little crazy, too.
Ce ya.
