in the end of that movie the two brothers have separated to thier own world and
got stuck to the real world where laws physics exist not the law of equivalent
exchange.
Im guesing that from the time the two brothers hitched a ride in the end of the
movie, they already destroyed the permanent gate on thier side...Physically
(maybe some explosives), while Mustang and the others tries to destroy it
alchemichally from the other side.
Now thier on a chase on finding a man that carries the A-bomb (which you know
what it can do). They really need to create a 2nd season beacause i really want
to know how they fail in finding the A-bomb (i think they failed cuz of what
happen to hiroshima and nagasaki...).
I highly doubt there will be a second season. Yes the ending of the movie is
sort of open-ended with a slight possibility of a continuation, but I doubt
it... most series are like that, unless they have a really good reason, they
don't usually create a second season...
I don't think that they will create a second season and i hope that they don't
create a second season either. Don't get me wrong, i love all things fullmetal
alchemist. Best anime in the world in my mind but fullmetal alchemist is one of
those series that you just don't continue. The series was nice with no fillers
and 51 eps of story driven plot and the movie was create and while i was almost
on the verge of tears because the journey i started with the Elrics after
watching it for four years now as now come to an end and as much as i want it to
continue leaving it right where it is now is the best way funimation and square
enix could go at this point. Don't do like dragon ball z and prolong the stupid
show to the point in which it gets dull. The ending was perfect, the series was
perfect and the movie was perfect so let's just leave it at that shall we
2nd season? nope...the story is good enough....i bet there no way to continue
story anyway...
but i hope there will be a new story in FMA like all new char and in the end the
char will link to the old story or link back to old char i think tt will be
good....
it would be really cool if they made a second season, but in a way it would be
better to just leave it. If they ever do (which I doubt it) I hope they be
really careful not to ruin it or make it dull, because the 1st season and movie
of fullmetal alchemist never got dull.
I agree with Blaze016 that if they do make a second season it will get only dull
and where they left all is just perfect cause it lets you make your own ending
in a way. but if they do make a second season they better get some new chacters.
I agree with everyone else. I highly doubt there will be a continuation of FMA
and if they do, it would probably be dull like others mentioned unless a new set
of characters are introduced, but it still wouldnt be the same. the movie ended
the series just fine...
I really liked the entire series.. However, does anyone not like the ending of
the movie? I would want it to end happily ever after... Kinda feel sad for Winry
and everyone else on the other side of the gate. Anyone else feel the same?
I dont think there`s going to be a second season... I like this anime a lot but
the final was very nice the way it was... and also, then the anime couldn`t be
called full metal alchemist since they cant do alquemy any more, right?
they should make at least a concluding OVA or something , I know they made three
others after the movie, but those didn´t really tie in or make any sense,
besides , the movie AND series left a lot of open ended stuff and unresolved
issues. Maybe after a while and due to public demand they´ll produce
something like "death and rebirth" or the sort just to clear things up
, cuz that would be interesting and good for the series...
it will be interesting if somehow they manage to tie the anime and manga
storyline together but that gonna be tricky to be done i think..but i think if
they do want continue the anime,it should be much closer to the manga this
time..
If making a second season is the wrong way to go, why not just make a second
movie? I would be so happy if they did, but I doubt they will.
I watched the commentary for the movie and it seems like after they finished
Shamballa, the warehouse where all the scripts and posters and all that jazz for
the whole series was going to be renovated. So I guess that isn't a possibility
as well. I personally wanted to see Ed back with Al- on the other side of the
gate. Back home where they both belong
A new FMA tv series has officially been announced just recently from BONES, so
far all anyone knows is:
1) that it exists
2) BONES has titled it (at least the preliminary project) "Hagane
2"
3) It is believed that it will follow the manga's storyline from the point that
it diverges from the first anime
do any of you already seen the movie?

... but anyway, I wonder what happened to Envy...

I don't think it's necessary... You can tell the rest for yourself. A lot of new animes end this way and you have to make ending yourself.
Damn I hate it :P

it would be great if there is a second sries...but i don't think there will be
but we can only hope
It would be great to see more Ednes but if it carries on then it might be like Naruto of Inuyasha, and it'll get very boring indeed

is it really that neccesary to end like that? Let the audience imagine what the ending is?
