i was reading the newspaper then i found this.... a girl who is only 12 years old was sniffing glue with her friends in the park and got raped by a 45 year old man, her friends aged 13 and 15 where there aswell sniffing glue, then from there memory looking all confused said they saw her going up and down when they looked through the window and said a man with his pance down was doing.......certain things to her and they say they didn't know what was going on, but stood there sniffing their glue watching.

who would you blame? her friends, herself, or the man, tell me your opinion and what you think of this

The fault is with the man; the only fault that lies with the girl and friends would be sniffing glue in the first place, thus being unable to help.

if the 12 year old girl did indeed get raped, then i feel sorry for her. i hope that man goes straight to hell and rot. 13 and 15 year old should sound old enough to know what situation their friend is in. atleast yell out loud for help, maybe someone nearby might have noticed. if not, it might have scared the man a bit to stop, but just standing behind something and not doing anything to help...that's sad.

yeah i agree, they should of atleast done something about it instead of watching

i think they should even sniff glue which cause them to hav weary eyes which could make their vision blur and thus, the man able to prey on the girl and rape her

I think I've already said this in another thread but... Ok... explain to me why were those kids sniffing glue a.k.a "doing drugs" you could call it... well... we often redirect those problems with familiar conflicts or peer pressure or some really screwed up friends that induced her to do this... Why did she do it?... "Oh if you don't do it then you're not cool and can't stick with us..." simple... peer pressure... lack of will... lack of self-confidence... desire to be accepted, it's a long list... problems that early teens have to face with today...

3. I was too damned surprised that a kid was mugging me!

It's the guy's fault, definitely. And her friends have some blame to take on as well. If they weren't sniffing glue, they could've helped her. But in that state they couldn't. They have no business to be sniffing glue in the first place.

If you're looking at who's to blame for the rape, then it's obviously the man--exactly what ZeroFear said.

The girl and her friends, though, are to blame for their poor choice in sniffing glue in a public place. That doesn't make the rape excusable in any way, though.

Normally I dont post in the forums, but every once in awhile I will see threads like this one and just think: "why?"

Whats the point in a thread like this? Sure its a sad thing that the girl got raped and her friends were too effed up to do anything about it, but asking a question like this just seems a bit redundant to me..."Who is to blame for this little girls rape?" Lets think about that one real hard. I mean sure the girl and her friends made a mistake, but insinuating that they are to blame for her being raped is just cruel. If a woman who wasnt high got raped, you wouldnt look her in the eyes and make a remark like: "Yea, well what were you wearing?" You just dont do that kinda crap. I personally think all parties should get the blame: the girl for allowing herself into such a helpless situation (but for her getting high, she would not have been exposed to this situation), the man for carrying out the deed, and her friends for failing to seek help (duty of care failed).

Of course the man holds the largest share of the blame (for being the perpetrator).

I place in the order of 1) Rapist 2) the girl raped 3) her friends. Like others have said already they all share the blame.

While the girls shouldn't have been sniffing glue in the first place, that doesn't make them responsible for what that man did to their friend. The only person responsible for the rape ist he man who in fact raped her. There is no excuse for rape, regardless of what condition they are in or age the of the person.

The rapist is at fault, 100%. HOWEVER! the girl should not have sniffed the glue to begin with, getting her high and stupur, which then gave the man the advantage to take control and abuse her. what im saying is that even though the man is at fault, the damage was done, and it could have been prevnted if the girl wasn't sniffing glue to begin with.
