hey, so far i've absolutely fell in love with FMA, Kino's Journey, and Last Exile. now, i don't have alot of money and need to make a wise decision as to the next series i'm going to put my hard earned cash into. any suggestions?

Death Note, for sure. And Rurouni Kenshin. And FLCL. And Maison Ikkoku.

- Chrno Crusade (a delightful mix of action, adventure, drama and comedy; my favorite series)
- Chobits
- Love Hina (a classic)
- Mahou Sensei Negima (from the same author and in the same style of Love Hina)
- Shingetsutan Tsukihime
- Fate/Stay Night

^^ That's what I would suggest (I'd suggest more, but the list would be as far as Anime series exist in this world ) Although this greatly depends on your preferences n_n

hmm..let's see. i didn't like chrno crusade (story wasn't deep enough for me). also, i thought fate/stay was dull. and for flcl, it was just too weird for me. death note is a good suggestion (i love the manga).

maybe someone could do sort of a anime-esque psychoanalysis of me based on the anime i've seen:
likes: FMA, Kino's Journey, Last Exile, Evangelion, Samurai X
dislikes: naruto, bleach, miyazaki films, chrno crusade, gankutsuou

now, i'm no anime expert, and i've only seen a few series. what i do know i that i like to get something after i'm done watching a series; be it a memory, and emotion, or a philosophical insight. basically, i'd like a "thinking" anime. i don't like mindless action or anything that's too artsy (ie shinkai stuff). also, i don't like the things that get a little too weird and confusion (ie flcl, lain). i love something with a deep story. hell, i might even try a little humor if there's anything good out there.

If you want a movie, I highly suggest aquiring Akira. I don't blame you for not wanting to see Naruto (personally I think it's over-rated). Hmmm... You have an interesting assortment of likes. You may enjoy watching Great Teacher Onizuka (GTO). It reveals the philosophical aspects of bonds among friends and family whilst introducing aforesaid aspects pertaining to life itself. If GTO doesn't do it for you, you may wish to see Infinite Ryvius. I'm not going to go into detail about it, but you may want to visit

How about Suzumiya Haruhi? I'm sure you know about this anime.

Try BubbleGum Crisis, Trinity Blood, Eureka 7, Mobile Suit Gundam SEED (and SEED Destiny), Full Metal Panic (FMP Fumoffu if you want lots of humor), Infinite Ryvius (I agree with insomniac that this is a pretty good anime especially if you like Evangelion), and Mars Daybreak.

Kinda suprised you did not like Laputa (Miyazaki film) since you liked Last Exile

hmm, you had some good suggestions insomniac. i'll look into GTO and infinite ryvius. and alright mnemeth, castle in the sky and howl's moving castle are the exceptions since i'm into steampunk. also, the suggestions i disagreed with were:
- eureka 7
- gundam seed (i hated every mecha, except evangelion)
- trinity blood (hellsing still ranks as the #1 vampire anime for me)
- inuyasha (i hate series that are too long, except FMA)

still looking for suggestions if anyones willing to give them.

i would say mai hime, air gear, , elfen lied, ...i like lots of them and dont remember ^^;

I highly reccomend Full Metal Panic, Full Metal Panic Fumoffu, and Full Metal Panic The Second Raid, if you like a combination of comedy, action, and a good story line, plus ADV has FMP and FMPF in affordable thinkpaks. I also reccomend Get Backers, Fate/Stay Night, Basilisk (Romeo and Juliet like story), Shana, My Hime (this show is awesome), Scrapped Princess, Fruits Basket, and Paradise Kiss.

If you want some really good comedy, you should try Ouran high school host club (Ouran koukou hostobu).
Oh, and Witch Hunter Robin is a bit darker, but I liked it too.

On the other hand if you like fanservice then Ikki Tousen (Suggestively clad, beautiful buxom babes beating each other up) or Divergence Eve (warrior babes in skin tight suits) is the way to go.

Try Chrno Crusade. Defenly Chrno Crusade. And try Spiral too (the ending isn't the best one thought). Ore meby you should try Kitty Grade. Yu-Gi-Oh! is another good choice, but the showe is a litle long (over 200 episodes). Some other gret animes might be Shaman King, Inuyasha, UtawareruMono, Bleatch, Kalaido Star etc.
