With my 384kbit upload, i should be able
to upload images with at least 45-46kB/s. But when i upload scans to MT, it
takes several minutes to upload even small images only a couple of hundred kB's
big. And it doesn't seem that everybody else has the same problem. Very often
when i have uploaded a scan, i can see that while i uploaded that one single
scan, some other user uploaded two, maybe even three other scans.
Does anybody else have the same problem? Is it possible to change this? Could it
be a firewall that slows the upload, or can the problem maybe be fixed by
tweaking some network settings?
(oh, and i don't have the same problem with other sites. it's only with
Minitokyo.)
Edit: It also took several minutes just to post this

Does ANYONE else have the same problem as me? I can see with NetLimiter that i
only upload images with 1-5 kB/s.
I can't think of a reason it would be a firewall issue. Are you consistently
having trouble loading pages and uploading? Or is it sometimes so slow you think
the connection will time out and other times it speeds up? The latter happens to
a lot of people (myself included), and there isn't really anything that you can
do to improve things
One thing though, you should consider scanning your computer for spyware and
viruses. Since you only have a problem with MT it probably isn't the culprit,
but I say this because on a friend's computer (this friend had a very fast
connection) web pages were ridiculously slow to load. It never hurts to scan
your computer regularly anyway. Do you have any spyware detection programs?
Yes it's consistent (but only on MT). Every page takes a lot of time to load,
and sometimes the connection actually does time out.
And yeah i have checked my computer, and there are no virus or spyware on it. I
guess it could be MT's server that's just very slow, but it doesn't seem like
everybody else on the site has this problem, so it's probably not that either..

This problem I think is connected with the current server problems we are having. Unfortunately there isn't much we can do about it.
So no you aren't the only one having this problem it's a general MT problem which we hope is resolved soon.
