If Mental Pain Could Show
If mental pain could show, What a sight that'd be, Swollen eyes, broken nose, Tattered as can be.
If what you felt within, Could be read just like a book, Just take a second to imagine, Exactly how that'd look.
Missing chunks of flesh, Bloody wrists slit real neat, A severed ear, hard to hear, Oh that'd be a treat!
Twisted face of fury, Bloody tears of rage, Lost a leg, memory vague, Painted on a page.
You read this book, you took a look, But you'll see that it's a reflection, A clear-cut image of yourself, In life there is no perfection.
But no one sees what lies within, The pages of this gruesome book, But if you are curious enough, What don't you go and take a look?
Interesting piece of work. Kinda reminds me of this one Twilight Zone episode, where these people are given masks in the shape of their twisted inner selves.
