I am trying to use a valid image in my signature but nothing happens when i try to upload it...its a gif file, within the correct dimensions, not larger than 50 kb....when i hit update nothing happens, no error message, etc.....why?

To use the signature, after you upload it you must use the [sigimg] bbcode in the Signature text box on your personal options page.

I dont understand. I cant just use the upload button and then hit update?

No, that only uploads the signature to the database. You still have to implement the signature in your signature text box.
From the personal options page:

Quote:
Your signature which will appear under each post of yours. You can use bbCode; No more than four line-feeds are allowed. You can also upload a signature image, which you can insert into your signature by inserting the bbCode '[sigimg]' in your signature. This signature image needs to be a GIF file, at most 486x60 in dimensions, and at most 50kB in size. Animated signature images are allowed, but are not recommended.

Relevant part bolded.

Oh, i thought the [sigimg] tag was for hotlinking signatures form another site. Lets see if it works now.

Edit : Hmm i still cant see avatars/sigs. Any ideas?

Go to control panel > Minitokyo Options. Select "full" on post format.

Oh, by default people cant view avatars/sigs?
