well, this got through MT for about 24hours or so~
it even received some faves and comments and such...
what's wrong with it? and what
should i do to make it better?
Great concept and nice work on the background, but there's alot of pixelation on
Yuki. A light blur over her might help, but I think vectoring or finding a
better scan would be best.
Here's a few reasons why it got deleted:
- The scan isn't just pixelated, but it's badly extracted. It also seems that
you have enlarged it.
- The idea of applying stocks is good, but they should be modified. The shell
and birds look way too realistic than the girl.
- A few pixelated/jagged parts on the background. (Mainly the seashore)
So, here's some suggestions:
- Don't enlarge the scan. To make it bigger, vector it. You can also paint over
it or re-CG it, to have high-qualiity scan.
- Modify the stocks you want to use. There are various methods of modifying
stocks; usually vector them, or smudge and paint them.
- Scenic background should limit the use of filters, but try incorporate more
stocks(like beaches, sunset, clouds whatsoever) to the background, and modify
them too.

^ i didn't enlarge the scan BTW
thanks for the help
The shore is a bit pixely and the birds/shell appear too realistic to go with the anime character.
