i am curious if anyone is a member of last-fm? if not, i recommend joining and
"scrobbling" as i have gotten many great recommends for
"new" musicians that i love.
basically the "scrobbling" feature records the music you listen to and
then makes recommendations for artists similar to the ones you like and shows
you "neighbors" whom have tastes like yours.
also many "indie" bands have free tracks for legal download as
well.
I'm on last.fm, less for the social aspect of things, more for the cumulative
statistics. I would be more thrilled with the music they recommend if they
didn't keep giving me the same three bands over and over again.
