- It was too simplistic, with poor layout or background
- It was too blurry or overfiltered
- It was a low effort wallpaper
- It was an alternate version of an existing wallpaper. Please only upload one
version of a wallpaper. If you wish to display alternate versions, you may post
an offsite link.
- It did not feature an anime-style image. See this announcement for more
information
- It used screenshots or unmodified stock photos
- It featured a poor quality extraction or had many artifacts on the
images
I don't get what the reason is... oh and feel free to say any kind of
constructive critism. click
01. You took two scans, resized them and placed them in a photo frame which was
poorly done by the way.
02. The two characters outside the frames are badly extracted and are of poor
quality.
03. The background is poorly made. It is bland and lacking in appeal.
Take a look at the other better wallpapers out there. It does not have to be
sophisticated but must at least provide decent visual appeal.
Well, let's analyze everything one step at a time.
It was too simplistic, with poor layout or
background.
True, a simple background made with a texture won't get your wallpaper accepted
into the gallery. Furthermore, the texture is grainy, blurry and disturbing to
the eye.
It was too blurry or overfiltered.
See above explanation.
It was a low effort wallpaper.
Yes, it was. It looks like all you did was take 2 screenshots, add some borders
to them and paste them onto a background. If you want your wallpaper to be
accepted, you must put some effort into it, so that you can proudly have it on
your own desktop and say "hey, I'm
really proud of how this one came out!"
It was an alternate version of an existing
wallpaper.
I don't know about this one, I don't think it's a duplicate.
The messages are generated by a bot, so some explanations might be
vague.
It did not feature an anime-style
image.
Not the case.
It used screenshots or unmodified stock
photos.
Now this is the most important part. All I see here (as I stated in the third
explanation) are a few low-quality screenshots put together apparently in no
order. This is a major no-no, since screenshots usually ruin a wallpaper. If you
want to use a screenshot, it's better that you vector it, or try to use
textures/ effects/ layer blending modes etc. if you don't know how to
vector.
It featured a poor quality extraction or had
many artifacts on the images.
True. Look at the character in the lower left part. That is a very low effort extraction, especially around
the legs. Look for some scan cleaning and extraction tutorials on the Internet
(there are lots), and learn how to work with images.
Now, don't feel offended for the tone I used. Always plan your wallpapers ahead
- not necessarily all the details, but when you start working on a wallpaper,
you should have an image of what you're about to create. Next, make sure all the
elements blend in well (characters, items, colors etc.); if you want to make a
contrasting wallpaper, make sure that the contrast is understandable. This is a
very important thing - always make sure the
message you want to transmit via your wallpaper can be easily
understood!
Hope my advice helped!
This thread was originally under The Sandbox. Plus, there is that last sentence
asking for criticisms. Hence, providing criticisms as anyone would to other
submissions in that subforum would be a valid action by any member alike.
I'm sure there was something at the bottom of the PM that specifically stated
why it was deleted, but I'll say it again and add a bit more:
Two scan resized to fit into the frames, no modification on them [the scans]
whatsoever, and those two other scans are low-quality and poorly extracted.
Also, you need a signature on your walls.
You can submit the wall to The Sandbox for help on how to improve.

That is true however howtwosave improperly categorized this thread. It belongs
in the deletion complaint section. As such what Revan stated applies. If
howtwosave wants criticism on this wallpaper then another thread can be made
requesting such. However in the mean time this thread should only be handled by
a gallery moderator.
