o.k, i have photoshop cs2 and i've been working on a wallpaper, i've seen lots
of walls in MT having textures, i want to add textures to my wall as well,
problem is i don't know how to, so if any of you could tell me how to do so,
it'll be nice.
Thanks
One version would be installing them as patterns. Open the texture in Photoshop,
then go to Edit -> Define Pattern and
give your pattern a name. To use it, simply select the Paint Bucket Tool (press
G or look for it in the Tools Window) and select Pattern from the drop down menu in the options panel.
Another option: open the image you want to use the texture on in PS, open the
texture as well, press Ctrl + A, then Ctrl + C, then go to the image and press
Ctrl + V. What you did was basically select the texture, copy it and paste it on
to the image as a different layer. Now all that's left for you is to have fun
playing around with all the layer blending options to see what's the best one
for what you want to do
There is also the option to create or download (there are websites where they
offer free brushes, just asking to be credited if you use them) brushes for
photoshop.
There is a good number of them that have a texture look; then you just have to
play with the blending options to see how it fits best the wallpaper, avatar, or
whatever you are doing.
