For a while most of us have been using CCCP along with the Media player classic
to watch our anime. Problem is, there are some files that worked with Windows
Media Player 11, but played in Japanese, with no English subtitles. And now for
the Vista users the Media Center shows a better picture quality than the Media
Player, but still had the same issues with the .mkv files that the Windows Media
Player has; so we resort back to the Media Player Classic.
NOT ANYMORE!
I was screwing around the Internet, trying to figure out ways to combine CCCP
and Windows Media Player and I discovered this blog:
This blog not only tells you how to COMBINE THE CCCP PACK AND WINDOWS MEDIA
PLAYER 11, BUT IT WILL ALSO WORK FOR THE VISTA WINDOWS MEDIA CENTER!
I followed the detailed instructions (which have screenshots of what you are
doing) to the letter, but ran into a snag...I didn't know how to install .reg
files, which is a must. But I found out how to install them and guys.........
THIS SETUP REALLY WORKS! ALL the anime files are thumb-nailed (use to be only
files that was able to play through Windows Media Player 11 were seen) and if
the file is Japanese with English subtitles, they will come on automatically! No
more right clicking to set subtitles.......
I recently acquired Ghost In The Shell: Solid State Society and discovered that
it was in Japanese with English subtitles, which prompted me to do the search.
After I followed the instructions, I played the file again and the subtitles
came on....AND THIS IS THROUGH THE WINDOWS MEDIA CENTER! I added an entry on the
blog site (under my usual tag, GundamWZero), thanking whoever figured this out!
The greatest thing is.....there is a high probability that us Vista users can
now BURN DVDs using the Windows DVD Maker, with the included subtitles! I will
attempt this TONIGHT, post what happened TOMORROW! Those who uses the Windows
Movie Maker....try it out and post your results!
IF YOU CAN STICKY THIS DO SO!
I HAVE TO GET YOU GUYS COMPLETE ATTENTION!
