Albert Gore Jr, has not said he will run but has also not counted it out. And of late his global warming film and organizations have given him massive media attention.

Some may say he is just out of date for the democratic party, others may feel he's too "liberal".

In most polls he is ahead of John Edwards, making a non declared canidate in third place.

But What do you think, should he run? Why or Why Not?

And who is your current canidate that you support if any?

I believe Al Gore is heading us in the wrong direction. He believes we need to cut on pollution which I do agree with. But he is focusing mainly on us and it will most likely be our ruin, if that is his main intentions as president.

Well we do produce 33% of the worlds carbon, but he focuses on china too and India.

His latest book the Assualt on Reason talks about a wide variety of issues ranging from the use of fear too the use of religon.

I will say it is nice that he is apparently finally talking for himself instead of being a political mouthpiece but I would not vote for him for President. I believe he lacks the ability to do the job effectively (and I do not agree with his or the democratic party's stance on several major issues).
As to who I would vote for well I have yet to make that decision.

Exactly, if he tells China to change it will lead to two things, war or they will just change and that will be a big risk since he really wants us to change.

Granted China is not an ally, but they have financial interests in the United States, they export massive amounts of products too us, and if they assaulted us a third world war would start, and the Chinese are much to smart to do that.

As to China changing that would be a positive thing along with the United States changing, people fear change but it is often for the better.

even i'm not US citizen, i wish Hillary would be a president of US...
i heard America had never been leaded by a woman's president b4, why US not try?

I have no problem with having a female president. I do have several problems with Hilary becoming president though. She is definitely not up to the task in my opinion.

Mnemeth, finally we agree on something. My reasons are not because she is a woman, or she is incompetent, but because she just won't admit any mistakes.

Why do you think Al Gore would not have the clout too lead?

Hilary is probably one of the worst candidates for presidency. But it is a good idea that a female should be president

As for Al Gore. Gore's past family ties, especially his fathers ties, leave alot of questions as to Gores actual views and agenda IMO. Also the platform he is currently pushing with the sensationalization of global warming is doing very little to solve any of the issues which while its worthwhile to point them out for areas of improvement, are actually not as big a deal as he is making it out to be. That and I tend to disagree with the general Democratic platform.

Well will have to agree to disagree on Vice President Gore, i find him to be very competent. I also know global warming is a major problem but thats another battle.

Read the Assault on Reason if you want his views on policy in the United States...

Just a thought.

im going to vote for Obama (YES! I'll BE ABLE TO VOTE NEXT ELECTION!) if he gets the ticket. I wouldnt vote for Hillary tho, not because she's a woman, but because there are things i dont like about her, like how she jumps on the band wagon on a lot of issues. if she gets the ticket, i dont know who i'll vote for, Nadar maybe :P, but if she gets the ticket, she wont win simply cause alot of people dont like her, even people in the democrate party, me, being a flaming liberal (as my history teacher called me) dont even like her. But hey, it would be crazy to have Bill in the White House again as the first man.

but if Gore ran, yes, he'd have my vote, cause his focus on global warming is great. if he had won a not bush, global warming would probably already be on the decline by now

I chose Al Gore to be the presidential candidate if the presidential elections were held today. Out of all of the other candidates, Al Gore has more experience. Try 8 years as Vice Prez. He could bring people together and yes, he could tap Bill Clinton as Veep. Yeah, I know many of you readers may say "WTF !"
Come on now, after 8 years of Bush and Cheney and the Neo Cons force, it's only fair that this country get back to common sense and repair the damage that our country has done. Only perhaps most of the nations may forgive Amerika for it's arrogence as well as stupidity. It's called revenge !
A old Klingon proverb goes like this: "Revenge is best served on a cold plate !"

Al Gore cares about the environment. Not that i am a US citizen so i cant vote him.damn.....

Anyone is fine. As long as the president cares about the country, care about the people, care about the peace with other countries, as long as he/she doesn't wage unnecessary wars. I would like a simple and civil president. But I don't like our current presidents, he's quite an agressive and don't-think-about-all-consequences person. Why was he elected I wonder, maybe people like that kind of person.
