Have you ever had a stranger or someone you knew say that they liked you? Do you take it as a compliment? How do you react to this.....

....for me its actually happened a number of times *not braggig* but it all ends up the same way. my face turns red and idk what to say and she stares at me lookin for an answer.

but i can never tell her how i feel cuz im too goddam nervous and my words get jumbled and i look like a total IDIOT.

I blushed unexpectedly. Someone at school told me that they liked me and I was silent. I tried to talk, but my lips moved with no words coming out. I must have looked like a moron.

If I don't like them, I reject them politely. A simple 'no thank you' works well.

Depends on how i feel. If i like them back then i say thank you and blush, if i don't like them more then a friend then i say thank you, but i don't want to date right now.

it will be more likely i'm surprised, but i can't show that through my facial expression. i prefer to take it easy, rather than shock-speechless act

I think everyone blushes, maybe if just a little. The important thing is to say thanks. Next, you always have to give the compliment back to them, especially if it's a really cute girl. After that, if you're not interested you don't have to say anything and you can let them say something, or if you are interested, this is your chance to start a conversation and get her number.

It's ok if they like you, I usually take it as a compliment and blush. But I could never feel the same if you say it's a stranger or someone I barely now. I had a case once, when he became a stalker for turning him down, it was really creepy, but I managed to talk to him and he finally quit. i'll just say 'thanks' and walk away. if that person really likes me, he will look for me again. if not, i won't even bother hahah.

@priincess: Well, the question is whether you have feelings for them or not? It really doesn't matter if they like you or not! It's you who have to sort out your feelings. If you really don't appreciate so much compliments and flattering from strangers, then you can politely direct them a nod or smile and then dismiss their comment. That easy Act normal and treat them like any other person that you meet. They'll gradually understand.

I never had anyone saying crap like that to me ever. I was rejected more times than I can count. Now that I gave up, I might just watch other people do it.

People focus too much on looks. Upon watching other people confessing, thats the root of the thing you call "feelings". It has nothing to do with heart. Thats a false thing you only see on t.v. The real world is much different.

Of course if I don't know the person so I ask her name first then it's all downhill from here(not really)

@priincess: Haha... Sorry! But that's very funny. I get what you mean now! You are mentioning the pushy type of person. Yeah, that's very annoying. I've been accused of being mad several times too. And it really makes me mad ! Ha! Just ignore them. I know this isn't really a nice thing to say, but sometimes people really don't understand how you really feel no matter how you try to make them understand. In the end you'll have to hurt them one way or another and bear with the guilt and showers of accusations. Boys call me grumpy when I don't welcome them! Hehehe... I just ignore them!

Yup! I know how it feels too. The fact, in the past, used to disturb me incredibly. And sometimes drew me near tears if I really didn't want to hurt people. It just happens, and you cannot help it. In the end you'll just have to sit and pray that they'll recover and move. I always pray for their happiness later on. That's the least thing I can do
