Hey all I'm tryin out Open Canvas tryin to follow some tutorials from bunnywunny but I seem to be having some problems with it :(

First of all I started out trying to ink a test image, and did two layers, eyes, and hair. After I got done with the hair layer I tried to save the image but then it gave me an error message and closed down the program, which made me lose my work :( I'd post the error message up here but I didn't think to write it down before coming here...

Now I'm trying to open up an in progress work on the test image where I only inked the eyes, and now it's giving me another couple errors which are:

"Could not read the improper write block!"
and
"Detected an error during reading-in! (err=39)"

Has anybody else had these problems when using open canvas? Btw the version I'm using is Open Canvas 3.05E Plus.

Open Canvas seems like an awesome program to use and since it's a lot smaller than Photoshop I decided to give it a try. If I can't solve these problems then I guess I'll give photoshop a try as well. Another reason I wanted to try Open Canvas was because bunnywunny's tutorial made her image looks so nice with the nicely blended shades and colors. You can probably do that in Photoshop too but I don't think her tutorials explained it :(

I went back and tried to recreate the error message I got the first time when trying to save, and I was able to do it -_- anyway here's the error message it gave me:

**!! BAD command or data !!**

so yea if anybody else has had this problem and know what's going on and how to fix it...pleeease let me know ;_;

I think they're still woking on the code...but I fortunately still have the very first version still lying around, which is less buggy and can network. Although, it's a simpler program.

Do you have the ligit one? Cuz the happens when you don't have the real thing.
