Man i find online MMORPG's over rated, i mean come on, the basic structure are
all the same! there is rarely any story line involved...I miss the good old days
of offline RPGs when people played the game for the story, i mean who played FF7
or chrono trigger just to level up? i have been looking for a new single player
RPG but i cant seem to find any good ones, arrrggghhhh, this is so
frustrating....can anyone here suggest one?
Tales of Symphonia for GC is good, 80+ hours when u unlock everything, plus it
has great replay value (can have up to 4 persons playing). Every battle
encounter you get a grade which can be used to unlock added features when you
beat the game. Best thing i loved about the game was the battle system, very
fast and combo heavy some matches can take a few seconds. Excellent game check
it out
also FFX is good, Golden Sun 1 & 2 for GBA, i also liked all the Fire Emblem
but thoes are more tactics games than RPG
Try Seiken Densetsu 3 or Secret of Mana, old but very good, Final fantasy
tactics advance on GBA, tales of symphonia on GC, Baldur's Gate on PC is
excellent but hard, Vagrant Story, the grandia serie and the star ocean
serie.
Either versions of the Lunar games TSS/SSSC or EB/EBC. (Sega CD/PS1.)
Grandia 1 and 2 (PS1 and 2 respectively.)
Final Fantasy 4, 6 or 9 (PS1.)
Phantasy Star 2, 3 and 4 (Sega Genesis/Megadrive or the Genesis/Megadrive
collection on PS2.)
Shining Force 1 and 2 (Sega Genesis/Megadrive.)
Tales of Symphonia (Gamecube.)
Castlevania: Symphony of the night (PS1 or Xbox360 live.)
And if you don't mind going for emulation, I also recommend Secret of Mana and
Secret of Mana 2 (aka Seiken Densetsu 3.)
