Do you believe heaven and hell? Give your answer with a reason plz.

i think this question was asked already awhile ago.....well anyway i do.Im a christian and the bible says there is a heaven and hell,so yes.even in other religions,they mention hell and heaven so just dont base it on Christianity.

No, I believe it was made up to keep people following the church, and before religion was fully fledged, heaven as a way of comfort.

Heaven is a comfort for people, thats why it was made up. Same with souls, but your being is in your brain. Its not glamerous I realize, people dont like the thought that your just gone. This is my point of view.

I myself am not really sure... i would like to believe that there is but i just cant i hafta have a little bit of
evidence to support the statement.

Let me ask you this...do you like the idea of someone as powerful as God ruling over you?please i hope you answer this because this could mean alot.

I believe that there is no god, I believe more in facts/science. I would be a shocked to find if there were a god, but do I like the idea? Thats a difficult question, indefferent I guess. How about you, how would you feel if you found there was no god?

You never answered my question.answer mine and i will answer yours.

I did, I said I would be indifferent. If there is a god ruling over everything then nothing would have changed except being conscious of an all powerfull being. Therefore, I would be shocked, but not terribly affected.

I asked if you like the idea of someone as powerful as God ruling over you....its a yes or no question.Do you like the idea?

I guess I'll say yes then.

I don't. My Dad is a Pastor however, so I'm quite familiar with the concept. But I just don't like the idea of a religion or any other thing saying that you'll be off to hell if you don't do x or if you act as z - I actually think it's quite disgraceful, because now I'm over on the other side I know how hard it is to get over that concept. It took me months before I wasn't waking up in the middle of the night, scared that I would burn in hell for eternity because I was no longer Christian.

No because I don't know of any reason to believe that it actually exists. I know why people may believe in Heaven, so that they get to live a happy life forever if they work hard and listen to authorities and Hell to scare them so as to prevent them from questioning authorities or the existence of either.

Well I chose the first choice,I believe because I don't know why,being a Buddhist I don't know much about my religion but I learned a lot from movies about our gods,as some of them has a basis.Believing in heaven and hell makes you strive to go into heaven,I guess...I cannot say much,for..we will never know until we part from this world.

I believe that there is a heaven and a hell. Depends on our perspectives though, what heaven/hell will look or be like. I'm sure there is something like heaven or hell because, well, I don't think I'd want myself to be bored when I die. I wanna have white feathery wings and fly!
