GAHHH HI VIVIAN!

hmm stargate SG-1 is pretty good, hmm books if its fantasy i recomend the WoT serie

That depends on what you like to read or watch? What book genre's are you interested in, suspense, action, horror, comedy, fantast,...? Even Manga? Same goes with tv shows. Give us a direction, there are sure plenty of things to suggest you. :)

Mr Bean! That'll surely crack you up :D

uumm, don't know if you're interested, but Global Christian Network is cool to watch. Also, the book i would recommend is the Bible or any books from Billy Graham. It's for free. There's also a site for Global Christian Network and they offer a cable that costs $2_ _ and no monthly fees and that's in the USA. it's more for Canada.
better to have a clean mind and no violence and war. than a dirty mind and violence and war.
that's how i see it, but your choice.
God bless

I recomend these books to anyone that asks. You have to pick up the Necroscope series by Brian Lumley, there are 13 books in the series and they're all good. I couldn't do the novels justice by tring to explain them, it throws a rather unique twist to the vampire legend. They aren't the frilly type like in Anne Rise books. And they're more twisted than the vampires in anime and movies. Just google it or buy a copy and see for yourself. :)

If you want a laugh read Lamb by Christopher Moore. The full name is "Lamb: The Gospel According to Biff, Christ's Childhood Pal." This is a seriously funny book. At least check out the back cover if you get a chance. (Josh/Jesus and Biff, one of various adventures, head east where they live with monk meet a yeti and learn jew-do)

The Golden Compass. definitely.

Blade of the Immortal and The Venture Bros.; manga and television, respectively.

coz i'm living in Indonesia, u can watch 4 mata's show!
it's very funny and katrok!
if u can't watch it, watch in youtube (if u're indonesian people who living abroad)

Read Philip Pullman's The Northern Lights. THere's a movie coming out soon called 'The Golden Compass', but it's really called an alethiometer.

Anything by Douglas Adams, but start with The Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy (the book), and continue on. The movie was crap, so don't bother.

Colin THompson's 'Future Eden'. Dead funny, and written similar to Douglas Adams.

Cecilia Dart-Thornton's The Bitterbynde series - beautifully written, but a litle on the heavy side (not sad necwssarily, just alot of it).

Harry Potter if you haven't already. Start from the beginning though (which is a little more aimed at younger people).

Garth Nix's Sabriel. Just fantastic.

David Eddings - Anything by him really. Start with 'The Diamond Throne' for one about a knight, or 'Pawn of Prophecy', about the saving of the world. Either is excellent and has two series in each.

Raymond E. Fiest - Start with Magician. Story of magic and set in a medieval sort of area, but spans across many dimensions.

And that's all I can think of.

George R. R. Martin's 'Song of Ice and Fire' series, that begins with 'Game of Thrones', is an absolutely mind blowing and very well developed semi-fantasy series.

As for TV shows, I am not sure about how open minded you are, but The Wire is really well written and contains some great characters.

BOOKS:
I second the Harry Potter suggestion. Fantastic series.
Anne Rice books are intensely good.
Stephen King's The Dark Tower series.
Stupid White Men (and Other Excuses for the State of the Union) by Michael Moore. Hysterical satire.

TV SHOWS:
Supernatural
Heroes
LOST
ER
Pushing Daisies
Journeyman

Tv shows, I would say " Heroes ", it's fairly original, great characters.

For books, Harry Potter if you haven't started already, His Dark Materials, El Che, The Bourne series and Belva Plain books like Evergreen and Random Winds.
