do you like what the english have done to the famous line "DATTEBAYO"?

i know there's alot of people that don't like "BELIEVE IT", because how crap it is. well i'm going to admit that i like it.

yes that's right i do, because everyone tells me how bad it is, so to them i say so what!

translate 'dattebayo' for me (those who don't know don't worry) then try fitting that translation to the mouthing of naruto in english. if you can do that tha's better than believe it then tell me. otherwise back of the english.

so what you got to say?

Ah, yeah, it gets annoying sometimes, but only because he says it so much. BTW, the only Naruto I've been exposed to is that marathon that they had on Cartoon Network a couple of weeks ago.

Well.. I kinda started watching the series in English, but once I heard the dubbed version, I just got hooked onto it. Hearing Naruto saying "believe it" or "dattebayo" doesn't do much to me. Hearing it in english is just awkward since I've been watching almost all of the current episodes in Japanese...

meh, doesn't really matter..... but it bugs me that they'd add the believe it though.... cause dattebayo isn't a word... its more of an expression you could say.... that re-itterates the word before it that is said...
like....uhhh
"uruse! uruse da tte ba yo!"
-Shut up! I said shut up!
.... uhhh i guess it can also be used for like " ya know " cause thats also reinforcing the word before it... like..... lets see something random...... " its yummy! ya know! " typa thing
.. believe it! can mean different things at different times... its better to make him reinforce those words or just to not even translate it rather than put believe it in... which could mean different things at different times.
other anime have either dropped it or followed the concept of their meaning rather than adding a phrase.... like everyone knows kenshins japanese phrases =3 can't ever forget those.... fushigi yugi has one too forgot who though .... too long ago
