I favor stringed instruments like guitar and the violin. ( Besides, I don't know
how to play any wind instruments. ) Percussions are nice but sometimes my rhythm
sucks, even with a tap instrument.
I was going to say it depends on the type of music, but in almost all
categories, I prefer guitar or other string instruments over all else. For jazz,
acoustic guitar. For movie scores, I like cello/violin. For rock, electric
guitar. I also love listening to traditional Chinese music that features
stringed instruments (ie the erhu).
I love to play the violin and the piano, but the instrument I love to hear is
definitely the cello because it creates such a mellow and peaceful but strong
and elegant sound. Another instrument I enjoy listening to is the Japanese koto because I love traditional Japanese
music.
Guitar because its one of the basic instruments. I'm trying to learn now, I'm
practicing strumming, I haven't got the chords right yet. But my fingers hate
the guitar, they're short and cant really reach long distanced chords. I need to
stretch them more. Piano, also a basic instrument, I already got the basics on
piano, though I'm not really fast in reacting which notes to hit. Violin, it has
such a beautiful sound. Whether sad or happy. They say its hard to learn it,
hopefully I get the chance to learn about it.
Hmm... Drums would be nice. Especially if you're angry. You can take out your
anger on the drums.
My favorite musical instrument is pretty hard to decide so I'll go with
instruments in the different areas
Percussion - the Timpani are the best as far as I am concerned with the abilty
to get the most attention or be hardly noticeable but still there.
Brass - Probably the trumpet for its pure sound and range of uses
Woodwinds - the flute comes to mind for its spritely tones
Strings - I'll have to go with the violin family for its range of abilities.
Piano and harmonica with slow and soft tunes.Playing it or just listening to it
ease your heart and fill peace to your heart, sometimes it can even make me
cry.LOL
I guess it has to be stuff like E.Guitars and Drums, but i'm not very good with
musical knowledge and all, so i can't seem to figure out many other types of
instruments used in a song
(well, apart form the obvious ones)
of the 4 I tryed playing...3 being piano, flute and guitar...and the 4th is not
actually an instrument per se...the voice...I like the piano quite a lot, and
the voice(<--being what I study now)...I am not that good with the guitar
though...I studied it only at an amateur level...so...:D...
the others I studied in school...
but I can't really decide on one instrument alone...
I like orchestras...from the baroque ones to the modern ones...I do have to
admit, though, that an instrument alone, has the possibility of creating a
special feeling, one can listen to it's sound...
I also like shamisen very very much. Also guzheng and a few others , but I don't
know how thery're named...:) (all in all...I like a lot of instruments...hehe)
Hmmmm..... I guess I like the plain ol' drums <.<; I don't really know why
though, I just plain love it. The second and third would be accoustic guitar and
piano.

So guys, what's yours?
Piano!
I do like cello, violin, ukulele, guitar, and French horn a lot, too.

I have two favorite that I play and love to hear and those are piano and bamboo flute

piano, violin and flute.
the sound of these musical instruments is so soft. when i hear that, i feel so sad. don't know why.
I really like piano, violin, cello, harp, and guitar.
For me its the violin and my other favourite is the piano.
drums!
drums ftw; they are my favourite
while i play on the drums I become insane, with long intervals of horrible sanity.
Drums ftw. Gotta love just sitting behind your drumkit, doing a good solid solo beat, or even playing to a song is cool :P
Guitar, Piano and Violin.

My favorite? Drums of course! Nothing beats the feeling of hitting things and sounding good.
Piano, Violina, Flute, Guitar, Drum. Of all, I love Piano the most.

I would actually like Oboe the most... the sound is so unique.. xD
Sadly i learn the clarinet instead of the oboe... but clarinet is not bad... <__<
I also like the Piccolo .. the sound is so high-pitch and cute :3
The violin, piano, harmonica, and trumpet, though probably not all at the same time....
i love hearing jazz piano guitar and drums (though preferably together heh)
overall i like piano and guitar since both are solo instruments
Umm first of all cello second violin, third piano and fourth guitar.
Hmmmm..... I guess I like the plain ol' drums <.<; I don't really know why though, I just plain love it. The second and third would be accoustic guitar and piano.
I'm partial to piano because I play it. It's also very versatile.
But I really like the sound of cellos and erhu.
