According to The Anime News Network, Funimation has acquired the rights to dub Jigoku Shoujo (Hell Girl) and Ouran High School Host Club. The first Jigoku Shoujo DVD, containing the first 5 episodes, will be released on Oct. 23 this year, while Ouran will be released next year.

A partial cast list for JS is at the ANN as well, although we still do not know the English cast for Ouran.

So, what do you think? In my honest opinion, Funimation's dubs are very good (read: FULLMETAL ALCHEMIST) and I'm glad they secured two of my favorite series. Some of you may not have the same opinion as I do, but I'm sorry. I for one look forward to hearing more about this, especially about Ouran.

i rekon they shud get kelly sheridan to do haruhis voice! she can pull off a guy and girls voice without even putting effort into it...if ya dont believe me...watch the ranma dub.....she did an awesum job in that

They're so going to ruin Ouran. Funimation are pretty good for dubs but srsly, Maaya Sakamoto is amazing who can really replace her for Haruhi's voice? I think they should get her to do the English voice as well seeing as she can speak fluent English (from what I've heard).

I have yet to come across a dubbed anime I am satisfied with, so I'll just stick with Japanese subtitles. Maybe I am too picky, but it's the truth. Funimation does pretty well, but even so the dubbed voices still make me cringe sometimes.

Ah, that's great... that means they'll be released here in Australia too, eventually. Don't really care for dubs though... :P

Yeah i agree with starry, they will need to find sumone who has a great female voice but male souding at the same time, anyway must of the dubs ive seen have been completey hopeless, so im not putting any hope in this.

Does the licensing also apply for the Second season of Jigoku Shoujo?

I'm actually looking forward to the dub of OHSHC. <3 Australia, unfortunately will probbaly get it in 09. Lol. Damnit.
