So, as the title says, do you think that the second series (so far) of Higurashi is better than the first or worse? Why?

Of course, this all depends on whether one appreciates Higurashi for its gorey scenes or its plot. I, for one, like the second series more because it delves into a lot of things that were left out of the first season. It's like a puzzle coming together, and I think the writers did a good job of showing this through the different arcs of the anime.

Enough of me blabbing, though. What's your guys' opinions?

Personally, I preferred the 2nd season a lot more than I enjoyed the 1st so far in the series

I was reluctant about watching the 2nd season after I finished the 1st because I was left disappointed but when I watch the 2nd season, I found it to be a lot more interesting

I guess it was mainly because of Rika-chan
And it explained a bit more instead of senseless and brutal massacre

I enjoyed the first series a lot more, it felt more brutal and suspenseful

The second season tells you alot more information, and shows how the characters come to realize a bit more of what has happened, and even though I'm not done watching season 2, I love how the plot unfolds, and Rika whom is the one struggling the most is holding strong!
