what do you preffer when it come to robots or mecha or whatever you wanna call it.....

as for me i preffer 2d cause it really blends to it background and character
3d is good but 2d is better when it comes to animation......an example of this is the Gundam Seed/Destiny

After watching the Gundam Series and playing Super Robot Wars, It's still 2D for me. 3D is okay but the problem is its only the mecha that's 3D sometimes

i prefer 2d, though some shows manage to do the 3d pretty decently, like Soukou no Strain

i have to say that the old school is better. I do like some of the new 3d anime, but the 2d is what i like the best.

2D anime with 3D mechas are cool, like Vandread, Reideen and Soukou no Strain. they are pretty decent 3D models, and they pretty much give a powerful and realistic look. Although 2D ones are great too. so it all depends on the show.

the only uncomfurtable 2d anime is Brain Powered has 2d robots but it.......ahmm.......it sucks.

2d for anime. 3d for games.
