As we know Suzumiya Haruhi said she isn't interested in normal Human Being.This
question gets to my mind..If she's not interested in normal human being,then why
do she choose Kyon as the only one she really wants to be with?In my oppinion,it
MIGHT be love.So what do you think about this?
It could be love since he's the only sane one that could stand her crazy ideas
and he's not shallow or boring as the other humans so that might piqued her
interest.
Or simply because he is easily used...
Well maybe it's because he's the only one who bothered to keep talking to her
and notice her changes.......
Or maybe she saw something special in him...... with all his monotonic
personality and unchanging facial expression
He seems no interested (playing the hard to get card works both ways you know)
and that probably piques Suzumiya's interest in him. That and the fact that she
does not seem to be able to intimidate him like she does other males.
Ok,so another question...If its love or because of Kyon's behaviour then Koizumi
is I think,have more eccentric behaviour than Kyon.He also weren't totally
intimidated by Suzumiya-sempai.Please give your oppinion

I've reed the novel which goes on further then episode 14 and One of the reasons
why is in the chapter and future episode called bamboo Rapsody and that's all
I'll say.
But from a speculation POV, I think Kyon actually has a job except he doesn't
know it. Some People say it's possible he could be a fail safe, basically there
to fix any major problems that occur but that yet to be proved.
Ah yes,I know that one,Bamboo Leaves Rapshody.But what im asking is why the so
"normal" Kyon from all people.Yes,he is a "fixer",Yes,they
actually meet a long time ago,but why him?
From just what I saw in the anime, I got the impression that she respected him.
He approached her despite her declaration, made a keen observation that many
wouldn't have even bothered to point out, and gave her that inspirational idea.
Those are all things that can illicit positive reactions from even the most
solemn people. Perhaps all this caused her to see him as NOT normal. He
certainly didn't act quite like the rest of his peers did. Plus, he may truly be
a not so normal individual, just like everyone else that gathered around
Suzumiya.
A senseful opinion indeed MontyJG,I also have opinion that Kyon was not as
normal as everyone thinks,and perhaps what he does were able to make Haruhi
liked him.And....Thats funny,Mistergua,lol.
because kyon is a person the majority of male viewers can easily relate to or
even replace in their fantasies. Obviously, the anime has to sell, guys in
general would prefer watching a boring dude like kyon because then he contrasts
more with haruhi, the main character.
That is what makes the series so ironic. Here is this girl who is looking for
espers, time travelers, and aliens yet she chooses the normal guy to rely on. It
helps that Kyon doesn't seem to mind his role very much and pretty much does
what Haruhi says...even if it is kicking and screaming.

I mean, nobody's completely normal...everybody has a weird area somewhere.
Kyon on the other hand, is super average guy who excels absolutelt nowhere with
absolutely nothing special about him.

The fact that he's normal in every way makes him weird which attracts
Haruhi.
I've only seen up to ep 5 so far, but this gave me an idea why Harui chose Kyon,
mainly because of all the normal humans Kyon was the only one whether she's
aware of this or not we may never know, who was able to spur her into action in
living her dreams! During Episode 4 and 5 I saw some indications during
situations that made Harui extremely sensitive when it comes to Kyon's
attention. for someone so powerful, again, wether she knows of this or not,
having no influence on Kyon's fated future is irritating for her aside from
being bored to death. It was Harui's cutest reactions when she could not be
paired up with Kyon during ep 5 the way she pouts is soooo gorgeous, IMO
ehh? why she choose him? She wants him to be by her side always, love or not
Kyon is an essential part of Harui's everyday life or immortal life now. Like
air and water!
I second all the opinions about Haruhi choosing Kyon just because he was the
only one at first that approached her and showed a bit of interest in her weird
ideas. Putting yourself in Haruhi's shoes can easily make you understand why she
decided to choose him... I'd actually say it's social incompetence. Yes, Haruhi
can talk (and heck, she DOES talk a lot and usually never knows when to shut the
hell up) but from what I could notice, her social skills are pretty poor.
well, remember in manga-"bamboo Rapsody" when kyon went back in the
past, he meets haruhi and he ends up helping her make that sign. she asked him
if he like aliens, espers, time-travelers and etc. he said yea, and stuff. so
think about if he meet her in the past and she remembers how he looks like,
don't you think that haruhi thinks kyon is the person that she meet in the
school. it like the part when she said have we meant before and stuff. so it
could be that she believes that kyon is similar to the person that she meets in
the past even though its kyon. also that can answer the fact she ended up in the
same class and school as kyon. so to me it like a twist of fate, so i guess it
like kyon and haruhi were meant to meet. i read the other manga, The Vanishment
of Haruhi Suzumiya- kyon goes back in time to find out what happen to haruhi and
stuff so he does worry about her. and i read some of the others so i guess they
do like each other in some way. but im not sure it love or not but maybe.

yeah but Kyon is demonstrably more than willing to go along with Suzumiyas random adventures whereas Kyon holds back some.
Well this Kyon lad is closest to her eh? Maybe thats why.

I really like haruhi ! i don't care kyon! but i care Haruhi! Haruhi choses kyon because kyon is different from other boys!
