My classmtes/groupmates always pressure me! they thought that i'm smart so they always give me ALL responsibilities in every projects. i can't help accepting thoser because if i won't accept them, then i would definitely become lower and i may be removed fromthe top three list in our class! Please help me because my health is being affected T_T

well ... how come your grade will become lower when you deny all those works and gives you more time to study ?

Reject wat you needed to reject when you think you don't want to do the assignment they gave you .... it's human rights for got heaven sake ....... as for the top 3 list ... do what you can to remain in that position ... if you cant ... let it be ...

btw ur age ?

well...ask yourself what did you do to get to be one of the top three in class....
and...if it's affecting your health, your classmates are being very very inconsiderate... you're not superwoman for god's sake... and as one of the top three, you should have enough authority to divide the work for projects... teamwork! what you do is take the responsibility to collect and read over the work and make sure it's the information needed and everything is not missing... and divide the work between your groupmates... step up for yourself....don't let them walk all over you just cuz they think they can yea...

...say no when you have to, or need to in your case...
are you getting paid for being in the top three? hehehe jk jk :P
but just trying to say top three is not worth an early grave...or a stressed mind.

*hugs* gambatte!

Top three list of what?

Anyway, responsibility and work are two different things, and I'm not entirely sure what you mean. Are they making you take charge in all project or are they making you do all the work? That does make a huge difference, you know. Or is it all just some popularity contest?

If you really are among the smartest in your class, I would have thought you to be able to better present your problems in a clear manner.

Top three highest grades. Duh.
Well tell those landlubbers that they will go down too if they don't help. That worked in my school project team on history case studies.

Well,im also in the top 3 like you.But I always clearly refuse if some guys tried to make me do all the work! And even though I refuse them,im still in the top 3.Btw,what top 3 do you mean here?

Whoops, gomen.I already know what top 3 do you mean.

Well how about consulting a teacher about this problem?
Is it a big problem if you refuse them?

^ wow smart!

I'm a consistent top student as well, and the sad fact is that it's a very common issue. Group projects are graded based on the performance of the group as a whole, and thus there are worthless pricks that are too lazy to do anything, and expect others to cover for them.
If your problem is practically all the students in every group, then yes, the teacher should be made aware of the problem, as this is a serious issue that needs addressing, and it is the teacher's responsibility to ensure that grades are meted out fairly.
Otherwise, you can roll with it or try to influence your teammates to participate. Don't just threaten though - incentives work better.

However, one of the key issues is the whole grading system, which is trying to teach teamwork, but often gets too caught up and forgets about the fairness that should come first and foremost. To that end, a truly effective teacher will come up with something that strongly encourages, or even FORCES each member to do their part. Specifically, one must evaluate both the individual AND the group, not one or the other (a very basic concept in management actually). My Business English professor, for example, had us each do graded individual papers in addition to the group paper and presentation. The rough drafts also counted as a homework grade, and because of those measures, there was no way a student could slack off without dire consequences.

* sit in the corner *

...ok fine...

anyways, tingin ko kailangan mong gawin yung pinapagawa nila sa 'yo FOR NOW... pero kapag medyo tagilid na yung health mo or medyo di mo na kaya, kailangan mo nang sabihin sa kanila.

eto ang tandaan mo: WAG NA WAG MONG ISASAKRIPISYO ANG IYONG HEALTH SA PAGIGING TOP 3 SA KLASE NYO! ...well, except nalang kung may perang involved.. teehee^^

Hey I got an awesome idea man! Why don't you READ MINITOKYO'S RULES. Isn't it awesome?!

Kawaii-hime: Whatever you are talking about, the best way to settle the dispute is to talk to your teacher aboutthe subject matter. Someone else already said this but that is the best way to parry off any incoming problems. Like they say "authority is best left balanced" or whatever.

Well sounds like you need to stop being in groups with your dumber classmates and group with #1 and #2 if at all possible.

Oh yeah and always remember "work smarter, not harder."
