Doujinshi / Doujin refers to material (manga, novels, games) published outside the mainstream industry, whether by amateurs or professionals. Most ppl would be more familiar with manga Doujin, which are more prevalent and usually use/parody existing manga series or characters. Doujin artists have always received a lot of criticism, usually over the fact that a vast majority of Doujin is Hentai (pornographic), or that they are talentless individuals who leech off the ideas and characters of mainstream series, that they tarnish the image of the series they parody, etc.

Anyone here read/collect Doujin, or has any opinions/issues regarding Doujin?
