Well both of them got perfect results in that exam......
..and neither gave up on the hunt for each other.....
wonder who is more witty of the two?
.....hmmm....you decide.
personally I think raito is smarter not to mention cuter...I mean the way he
sits, his attatude and the cravings for sweets hehe...wish I could inject that
much sweets and stay thin that'd be a dream ^_^
I love L so I want to say he's smarter than Raito. BUt I think that the two of
them are equals. Raito and L are mentally equal, but I think that L let his
emotions get the better of him a tad too much. He really didn't want Raito to be
Kira since Raito was his first friend and I think that hurt him. On the other
hand, Raito didn't really show any real emotion towards anyone (while he was
still in possession of the Death NOte). Sooooo I think although they are both
equal, Raito's emotional stability (more like indifference but yeah...) allowed
him to outwit L.
Unn, It's hard to say, They both are smart but Ratio had the Death Note, If the
situation was reversed.. L would win. Mm, I think L is smarter.. maybe.
He is definitely smarter then Ratio in the Death Note Movie.
Quote by Sammyjojo6Well i think
they're pretty much equal if LIght didn't have the deathnote. But i feel L could
be smarter than Light.
What does the death note add 5 points to intelligence? This isn't an RPG, the
death note is a book and nothing more. Light was as smart as he was from before
he found the death note. Having the death note only gave him a reason to use his
intelligence.
This thead is pointless. Also considering Light found away to kill L pretty much
says Light > L
Light finding a way to kill L doesn't really prove, definitively, that he is
smarter. It does however prove that Light is opportunistic and takes advantage
of the situations he finds himself in.
All that aside, the manga pages say it all. Light is more intelligent than L and
Near is either a close second to Light or just as smart.
L was smarter, the only reason Light won taht battle is cause he knew a LOT more
than L in the subject, he knew everything, L had to research everything.
I agree with you juna66. L id diffenitly much smarter I haven't
met Raito yet in the series so I can't say who's smarter, but in my opinion I
still believe that L is the smartest Honestly I
was a bit upset to here L died then we had this other character that was like an
L wanna be....
...It almost through me off from watching Death Note! But I gave it a chance
& it's still somehow interesting
Good thing I didn't stop
Light outsmarted L only because L let his defenses down when they found Rem.
Light managed to read L's moves continously only because they have the same
mindset. When he was up against Near, Light was losing horribly and made his
biggest mistakes then. That and L had all of his information backed up and ready
to send, so L beats Light by a long shot. The only reason Light won was because
of all the information he already had and the alliance he made with Rem.
L is smarter in my opinion -And that is not because I'm L's fan -
Why?
Because, L didn't knew who exactly was Kira, at least not until near his death.
Nevertheless, his decisions and wittiness still always put Kira in lot of
trouble and challenge. Kira stood next to L and attempt so many times to divert
his actions, and somehow manipulate him. Yet, L's decisions always threatened
him in the end. Kira despite of his advantages always had to be on guard. Not to
mention L never played unfair and yet he was still powerful, while Kira on the
other hand went through many nasty ways to get what he wants done.
L vs. Near:
I still think L.
Why?
Because L took the first steps in revealing Kira's true identity. He was more
expose to danger, since the enemy was not identified. Kira, his intention,
personality were still unknown to his seekers. L went far enough to draw Kira
near the edge of discovery. If things were more fair, Kira would have end right
there and then before L died. Near followed L's footsteps. He was already aware
how dangerous he can be, and because of L, he was also aware of Kira's
techniques.
Near vs. Kira:
Cannot judge that! Near beat him in the end, but still it was because of L's
previous influence. I think they're almost equal. The main reason that Kira was
beaten by him because he commit so many mistakes. Some of his actions were
really stupid. (Not worthy of the almighty Kira's image) No wonder why he was
deceived. Another reason I think is Light's change of personality. He was much
better when L was still alive. Don't know why though It
seems during the course of series his powers began to decline
gradually.

Well, Manga's usually do have differences with their Anime. In case of Death
Note Manga, there will be no arguments since it has already been stated based on
what you said -I have not read the Manga- We're talking about what people saw in Death Note Anime, and their judgments
based on that.

I agree with that. And, that exactly, brought up a certain question in my mind
in middle of the series. Who exactly were Kira's victims? What they tried to
portray was a young boy who was seeking justice by killing criminals. (Well,
that's good but not fair) but later on Kira's image changes drastically from a
justice-seeker to a sick serial killer who doesn't have mercy even on his
family. Kira is the first protagonist that I have truly disliked. And yeah, L is
the first antagonist that I have really loved What an
irony! Don't you think?

Uhmmm Only the author knows... hehe ^^ BUt in my opinion I think they are equals ^^
my friend says that L is the smatest one
i don't myself cause i havent read or seen Deat Note yet
According to How to read Death Note, Light and Near are equals, both outwitting L.

definetly L because he knew he would die
L intelligence is not surpassable

Raito > L > Near > Mello
Raito is the best since he is the main character and the one should kick his ass actually just L.
Light outsmarted L only because L let his defenses down when they found Rem. Light managed to read L's moves continously only because they have the same mindset.
