Eh, not sure what to say about this one.
Foolish Pride Stone cold eyes wander down a crowded hall None see them but they see all
Never alone, but all by himself Like a toy, long forgotten on the shelf
Angst and depression welling up inside Nothing seems worth more than foolish pride
Nothing wrong had been done by he But an easy target what was he was made out to be
Always quiet, minding no one's business but his own But pressed against lockers and to the ground he was thrown
He was polite, respectful to even those who torment him He never complained, even when life seemed grim
He didn't to cause more trouble than he was already in He didn't want to know what would then begin
He dealt with the pain, it became a routine They beat him 'til he was senseless and bleeding
They didn't give him a second thought They did it for their image, left him to rot
They cared only about how they felt inside And by that I mean their foolish pride
No one would help the poor boy when he bled Everyone just took their foolish pride and fled
No one would sacrifice their pride for his sake Losing pride is a risk that they wouldn't take
And so the days went on as they had But the guy couldn't take it, it had gotten so bad
And the ignorant people, they soon paid With a gun in his hand, there his tormentors laid
They all lay lifeless, and for them none cried His tormentors lay dead with their foolish pride
If they'd given thought to the consequences For all of them it would've made a difference
So the next time you feel violent inside Don't lash out, let go of foolish pride

Foolish Pride
Stone cold eyes wander down a crowded hall
None see them but they see all
Never alone, but all by himself
Like a toy, long forgotten on the shelf
Angst and depression welling up inside
Nothing seems worth more than foolish pride
Nothing wrong had been done by he
